Hello, people of the AEM Network forums. ^-^ I have been a player on the AEM Network for a little over a year now and even back in the early months of 2015, I remember the server having quite the community of players, it slowly diminishing as the months went by. I would like to start off by saying that I am quite excited for the revamp of AEM Network. It's about time for a turning point on the server. However, I noticed that Survival Games was not included on the new list of servers. Obviously, Survival Games has not been the most successful server on the network over recent months, it being unmaintained and having bugs of the sorts. Just a thought... maybe the AEM staff could consider bringing back AEM Survival Games in the future? Now, I of course understand that you are all extremely busy working on the server, with many other important tasks to attend to foremost. Perhaps it would be a great addition to the expansion, since once-upon-a-time, SG was quite the hit on the AEM Network. It would certainly bring in many new players, as Survival Games is obviously a huge game among Minecraft Servers. Additionally, it would definitely spark the attention of previous "AEMer's" too... I've come to know plenty of players via Survival Games on the AEM Network and they'd surely be fond of SG making a come-back. I'm not entirely sure if the staff are already planning on bringing it back one day, but I thought I'd leave this here as a suggestion anyways. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you consider Survival Games. It was a fantastic server, in my opinion, where I've met some pretty fantastic people. Regardless of whether or not Survival Games is put up once more, I'd like to say one last #GETHYPE!! Triforced
As it looks now it won't be any SG in the comming future but maybe in the future if many players likes this idea.
Hullo AEM peoples. /(^-^)/ I'm a friend of Triforced's and here to support her thread on the return of Survival Games. As she stated previously, AEM did in fact, used to be a popular hangout for a variety of individuals, (I even have roster screenshots to prove it!) including a group of friends that Tri and I are apart of. It was where our little friend group formed an alliance and became somewhat of a band of allies, so really, the Survival Game sector of AEM was of sentimental value to us. You could probably care less, but I thought it worth mentioning since it's where I (and others) went almost everyday to hangout on Minecraft (It's also where I learned to play Minecraft xD). I'm sure, given some time and work, that AEM's Survival Games could rack up a decent amount of active players if it was ever given life again. I bet the thought of having to maintain another section of AEM doesn't thrill you guys, but it would mean a lot if you could return AEM's SG back to its former glory. (Plus, I don't even think it would require that much maintenance after it's completed, but who am I to say that?) I still remember the times when SG was a bustling center of laughter, competitive bets, and the birth of some of the strongest friendships I have ever experienced. I'd often play late into the night even if there were only one or two players online at the time, because back then it didn't matter how many players were online...it was just a great place to converge, talk, and practice PvP skills. I completely understand that much of the AEM staff is most likely still working on the server at this time and that the mere thought of Survival Game's revival has been scarcely thought upon. However, I implore you guys to think about adding Survival Games back to AEM in the future. I have a list of people who, like Tri and I, wish for the return of SG and would be thrilled to once again battle in the familiar (or new) arenas. This doesn't have to be a rushed thing at all, we're simply asking the staff to consider giving us back our little retreat on AEM. =) The update so far has been amazing and I'm delighted to see that some of AEM's older players have returned to investigate its remodel. I think what you guys have done so far is great and I only hope that you keep up the good work! ^_^ That, and the hopeful return of SG sometime in the future. TBH i would rather see Capture the Flag back. It was why i came to AEM. Devastated when they took it out. But SG was pretty nice and a revamp would be awesome. I can see why u guys feel this way. Hope this happens
For a very long time this was true. I actually joined this server back in very late 2012 due to the SG side of the server, I found it on a Minecraft Server list. Eventually I moved onto being more of a skyblock player but at the time of early-mid 2013 quite a lot of players would play SG and it was a lot of fun! It was still one of the least popular gamemodes back then but it still had like 50-60 players sometimes. It had some great maps and I have a lot of great memories playing SG. I've sort of rambled on now but my point is that it was a lot of fun to play but I don't think a Revamp would encourage anybody to play it again. As far as I'm concerned across all Minecraft servers, SG is becoming less and less popular with the introduction of other PvP gamemodes.
I've been playing on AEM for roughly two years and back in the old AEM, and the old AEM Survival Games were popular. You could hardly ever find a game, popular. As time went on, the survival games has died out. But there happens to be another server that's died out over time, and this server happens to be KitPvP. Hardly anyone played KitPvP before the revamp, ten players max maybe. If the revamp changes anything, what will it do for KitPvP. Being an old-time player, I've seen both servers die out, sure Survival Games doesn't have many players but KitPvP doesn't as well. In Survival Games, seeing this myself there's always around 5-12 players. Sure, that's not a lot, but they still are players. Of course it's up to staff, but I'm just putting my two cents in.
Greetings, I am Dark. I've been a member of the AEM Server since sometime around 2013. I know that many (including a few staff) have said that SG was practically dead before the update, and that it would only be a waste of server space due to not many players joining, but I would say otherwise. AEM SG used to be quite popular back then. It would contain at least 30 people every time I would come online, and the community itself was great (Except for the occasional douche or hacker). Many, including me, used to come online on a daily basis, but one day it just stopped being maintained or updated. The maps were getting old, and glitches were being constantly exploited. This caused players to slowly start migrating on to other servers which contained more variety and were constantly maintained. Eventually, there were only a few left; Me, Pearlogirl33, Triforced, XxX_Badwolf_XxX, Toggehl, etc. AEM in general, was losing popularity, and it got to the point that there were less than 40 members online daily. Now, with the all new update, AEM's popularity had a boost! All the revamped gamemodes became popular once more, and I feel like if SG would be revamped and constantly maintained, the server will not only become more popular, but you will please many current members as most of us original players met through that minigame. Now I'm not ordering you, nor am i promising that it will boost up popularity, but I can say that it would really mean a lot to us players that lingered around AEM SG on a daily basis back then.
