Every six months or so I come back, debate spending money for a rank or two, then get reminded of exactly why I quit.
How about the mods let people chat and play rather than be in a constant witch hunt for AFK miners, and acting like they are gods gift to rules enforcement.
The place is already insanely overpowered already and there is now somehow worry about AFK mining as if reading a book while mining or playing an alt are going to rip a hole in the fabric of space-time.
Not fun anymore guys. Not fun at all.
Thanks.

Well seeing as how one of staff's main jobs besides helping the players is enforcing the rules, and warning/punishing those who break them, I think they're well within their rights to tell someone not to break one of the rules, which is no afk mining.
-
Assuming you're not one of the many that constantly break rules on the server, you shouldn't really have to be too concerned about what the staff do to enforce them.
I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say you were caught afk mining and you were unhappy with the results of doing so?
Edit:
-
If you were staff then you would've known why the rules were being enforced. And you would know that there was no "witch hunt" but staff members sweeping a couple times doing their duties as STAFF.

I'm saying the tone of the entire server has changed in the years since it began. And not for the better.
What is happening now did not happen then. The rules in place now that are being worried about did not exist then. The insanely broken economy was not broken then. I could go on and on but it doesn't really matter I guess.
*sigh*-
