I believe with that evidence, we can clearly say that Fury knew what was going on, thought it was amusing to have someone's tool burned, and knew about the consequences.

If Fury knew about the consequences, then he would know he would get banned

If he knew he would get banned, then he would have stopped it, but he didn't.

So we can clearly say that this user will come back to cause more trouble if he gets unbanned

 

It only takes a couple of minutes to give a clear explanation ONLY IF YOU HAVE PROPER EVIDENCE TO BACK YOURSELF UP. It shouldn't take a few hours to prove your innocence!

 

I think if you banned staff members for naivity or cluelessness you'd end up banning most of them. Lots of moderator decisions are poor!

Presume all banks and gambling on here are scams, always. Only invest what you can afford to lose.

Shady (and not so shady) businesses like to associate with trusted people like staff members. VoE felt protected. I remember complaining about their shout spam competition and it being dismissed by an anon moderator as not advertising due to the wording.. I'd always love to know who makes these decisions!

Nicit also gave them respectability.

Don't perma fury, and have staff guidelines covering this stuff.

 

There were clear guidelines, but they foolishly ignored them to ultimately do what they want. Recklessness like this is not and will not be tolerated. Leaking private and sensitive staff info is Absurdness at its best.

 

With all the new posts, I have much reason to affirm my believe into truth. You knew. You can't even deny it.

I think it is such a shame that it has gotten to the point where even some staff members are joining in with scams such as Obbles one. I know your nice and all Fury but I think this community has had enough upset recently and are not in the mood to let things off lightly. For now I agree with @RaginDevonian it should be a ban.

First off.. in no way am i discrediting kukes screens. They are valid and speak to the major issue surrounding fury. Still I believe many are missing the real point here...

Where in any of the screenshots can you clearly state fury did anything that violated ECC rules?? Does it associate him in some way? yes... and that is why he was banned and demoted. I have yet to see anythin directly linking him to anything that obble did. Obble is stating they expected bans, but that doesnt mean he wasnt lying. People need to review stuff in detail before just outright throwing accusations. Again.. is he innocent? maybe..maybe not... but i have yet to see anything that would warrant a perma ban on any level. In that case half the server should be permabanned with him. He was banned for his actions and association with obble. He has a chance to appeal like everyone else.

What I dont like is that making this a public appeal opens this up into a bash fest. He derserves the right to own up to the rules he broke... take responsability for it... and we can freaking move on.. if you dont know the facts and just feel the need to bash and cause drama then gtfu and do it somewhere else.. everyone desrves a second chance, even on ECC.

 

I mean - to be fair, Obble himself was on staff for a good chunk of time in which he ran VoE.

Some people are adding legit input on if they want him banned or not. Many are bashing without adding valid input.

Guilt by association. The evidence tells the truth better than anyone. The way Fury constantly has to defend himself only makes him look more guilty. Man up, child. This isn't a small incident where you can claim that you made a simple mistake and expect to take a light punishment for it. I don't like players like you ruining not just mine but countless other player's gaming experience. This situation isn't something you sweep under the rug which is the kind of mentality I am getting from your responses. I think less damage would be done if you were permabanned than if you were back on the server because as far as what I have witnessed in my short three and a half years here, a majority of banned users go back to the community and cause more harm than good.

I've going through and read each post. I've counted up most people's wishes as to what should happen to Fury. Most of the people either want him unbanned or at least temp-banned with restrictions on if he can be staff again. I wanted to leave this message to give the people of ECC something to think about.

A lot of what is said and shown here is hearsay and there is no solid proof (as Jamie said) that Fury had anything to do with the scamming side of things. Yes, there was some very poor judgement on Fury's part and evidence to that. He does not deny that. As I've said before, people make mistakes. I mean some of the people roasting him in this ban appeal have been banned yourselves at one point or another. Yes he lost people's trust and respect for what he did, but please don't make your judgements because someone says he knew about everything. I could say any of you knew about something I did, but that doesn't make it true. I have had to calm myself down and take it all in. Yes, what Obble did was vile, but this isn't Obble's appeal. Fury has been demoted from staff for his inappropriate actions, so why not give him a fair temp-ban and require him to pay back the loan that Obble wasn't enforcing very well. If Fury fails to pay it back, then he can take the ban for scamming. No one actually really set a deadline for him, so Andrew should do that and go from there. Fury, since you were bookkeeping everything, you should have no problem getting with Eek, Helix, and Matrix to come up with an accurate list of people who need to be repaid what. This should also be a requirement that you can do while banned or not.

TL;DR: keep Fury demoted from staff, temp-ban him for a week or so, set a deadline for him to pay back his loan (and if he doesn't then ban him for scamming), and have him hand over a complete list of who needs to be paid what to the appropriate person. This seems like a fair solution.
