Minecraft Username: 314 Brief Description: There is a thread in the For Sale/Wanted/Feedback category which I can't access. The title has vanished and the "Last posted" time has, as well. I looked at the profile of @toddtedd to find out which thread he posted on, it appears to be his banner shop. When I try to access the thread via this link, it shows a blank page that won't load. All other threads work perfectly except this one. Instructions: 1. Look at forum section 2. Enjoy not being able to view the thread. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Once, but permanently. I noticed it about 5 days ago and can't access it since then. Result: From the section: Nothing. From the direct link: Blank page. Expected Result: To show me the content of this thread. Evidence: Any screenshots/videos that can be used to show us as to what happens. Optional, but recommended. http://i.imgur.com/OH45oF4.png
Note sure if I have permission to respond to this so if not I apologise. I tried to access my thread and was able to, however, I do not know if that is just because I created it - In the mean time, if you wish to make an order just pm me and I will be happy to fulfill it.
I just remembered something that might be important... For a few weeks/months (I found out when I searched for 1.8 banners) I can't enter the word "Banner" into any search engine/search area/anything. No matter whether there are also other words (For example "Minecraft banner"), the search will simply not start. When I enter it wrong on purpose to let - for example - google suggest "banner", it then redirects me to a page that will not load, as it is the case at the moment with the banner shop. I tried with the ECC search area too, here is some proof. The ECC search engine behaves different than google, yahoo, bing etc. but the result is the one of a direct link and is the same as with the thread I can't see. I have checked about anything I could. No word filter, no unusual network settings preventing it, nothing. ANY other word works, only "banner", and only this word, doesn't work. So I assume it might not be an ECC-sided problem?
That was my first idea since then. For months with the banner problem in any search tab: Weekly system scans, nothing found. Since I saw the empty thread: Another 2 thorough system scans. Nothing found.
Now I did. Thanks for the idea, works with both IE and Chrome. Will reinstall firefox tomorrow to check if that fixes it.
Okay, completely re-installed firefox after thoroughly deleting ALL files related to it. Still not fixed...but I now know that I can at least use IE or chrome to look at the thread.
If you really insist on using FF, you could always go back in time (somewhere in control panel), but I don't know if some viruses/adware are removed by doing that.
I'm on mac right now, but I think that's what it's called. It's a time machine kinda thing for your HD, don't do it though unless you know that it will remove your problem, otherwise you might delete some important stuff.
Well...I had to make a system refresh in december because of an infection. It deleted almost nothing...except the exe-files of 15 programs. it left all of their libraries behind, only the files themselves were lost. Took me weeks to reinstall all programs... Also, because I have the "banner" search problemk since about...september or october, a revert to a backup would definitely be a VERY big step.
Found a second thread now. http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/t...and-sg-join-ads-have-to-be-in-ch-trade.118185 I have no idea why it isn't displayed - doesn't contain the word "Banner" at all. I can only watch it in IE and chrome. Results as of now: Nothing found with AV scan. Countless thorough scans. Searching network settings for anything that could ne related to it: Nothing.
