Logitech headphones suck I've had that one and more then 8 pairs of logitech headphones. Poor quality -.-
Get a razer chacarias (however you spell it) I have em right now, best headphone of my life! Lasted me more then 4months (longest time with a logitech)

No thanks, I've read reviews researched countless times etc etc before making my choice... and the "characias"
are far too low-end for my overblown standards :D

If there was another choice, id go with a Razer Tiamat (much more high end) but there are several reasons in not getting
them including which id need to buy a 7.1 sound card (g930s have usb therefore sound is onboard)

lol the chacarias is low-end? Where'd you get this information rofl... That headphone is the main gaming headphone
Swifty uses it, Athene uses it, mightypallyz uses it, that headphone alone sponsored Blizzcon. I've had a tiamat, the top half snapped in half when I was putting the headphones on.

I want to eventually get a gaming PC from iBuyPower, but I don't know much about the components of a computer, so I was wondering if someone could show me a good gaming computer for, well, I guess most games. Here's the link to the only laptop type they have (I believe) http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Battalion_101_CZ-12_2_Gaming_Laptop
EDIT: AND a headset. Not sucky, but not too advanced.

yeah $2799 .. thats a tough pill to swallow... although i just spent $2400 at x-mas for an HP envy for the wife..

laptops are a hard beast to crack.. You will spend alot to get something you prob could build a desktop for half... iBuypower is ok for a "boutique" builder. Check out:
    OriginPC. http://www.originpc.com/choose-eon-gaming-laptop.asp
    Falcon Northwest. http://www.falcon-nw.com/laptops
    Digital Storm. http://www.digitalstormonline.com/gaminglaptops.asp
    Maingear PC. http://www.maingear.com/custom/computer ... aptops.php

    What is your budget?

Origin Start with the EON15-S or EON17-s and Build from there
Falcon Northwest. Too expensive... not an option
Digital Storm http://www.digitalstormonline.com/lapto ... ?id=568677 this is a good one out of the box
Maingear. Not good options at the moment for some reason.. Maybe a product refresh.

So Digital Storm and Origin PC are good starting points as long as an 15.6" screen is good.. the 17" and up will cost a bit more.

Depends 100% on motherboard and ram

Ram can function better with dual channel motherboard can say it delivers data faster with quad channel it depends on the specifications so... Gimme links

    ummm... skinny... Intel rocks AMD...
AMD top part the FX-4170 = Intel Core i7-950 at best
AMD FX-8150 = Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 at best.

Right now nothing is touching Intel's i7-3900 series... and the new ivy bridge processor are out monday.. AMD has decided to take a middle of the road approach.. Nothing wrong with that as it is very afordable. But I guarantee that my i7-980 can out run any Current AMD processor. Hell an i3-2100 can do it!

Now ofcourse programs that are desigened to make use of multicore systems the AMD 8 core part will do very well. But for over all gaming/lesiure use Intel spanks AMD hands down.
