Not everyone has miq and buffer and i don't think you should need more then miq to kill someone in sg without kits
That proves his point he is trying to make. He is saying that the point of kits is to make yourself better. If it is just going to make you equal to a kit, why get it?
Why is the even up for discussion? People donated for kits for a reason... to be more powerful than non-donors. If non-donors had more of an advantage than donors, nobody would donate.
It sounds like what the OP wants is for non-donors to be put on the same level as donors. That, like others have said, would defeat the point of donating. If someone is willing to give the server $15-25 for special items, or $45-$75 to be able to use these items every match, then they deserve an advantage, as they are the ones making it possible for all the other players to be online. There are also plenty of SG matches without donors, so everyone has a reasonable shot at winning.
I agree, although there would be a slight chance of this diamond sword and even with it, kitters would still be more powerful.
Iron is already available in the SG arenas, which, if I am not mistaken, is already a material level higher than the best enchanted gear that comes with kits. In actuality, what is the point of adding diamond? Like you said, it would not provide a notable benefit against kit users. Non-kit users could use the diamond like they use the iron now, to dominate less fortunate players. Kit users could find the diamond(s) and keep it/them for themselves. No matter which of the three happens, the kit user still has the advantage, and the non-donors will keep complaining. My primary concern is that by starting to give ground to non-donors, they/we (I am not a donor) will keep fighting for more. There needs to be a $15/$25/$75/etc. difference between donors and non-donors, not just a slight or even a mediocre advantage. As a closing remark, this is EcoCityCraft, not SG Galore. In my opinion, the Survival Games should be primarily for "entertainment," not money-making. (We are in a video game, so everything should be entertaining. If a player does not find an aspect of the game entertaining, they need to go do something else instead of complaining about it, especially if they have not given a dime to the server.)
How about instead of adding diamonds by themselves just add diamond armor that's Un-enchanted? People seem to dislike the idea of the op sword, however I think the introduction of ingots into sg was more of a - then a + because now kits are even more op then before because they don't need to find tables. So armor will give the non-kitters a better survival chance but not make kitters obsolete.
I think you are missing the point. Not only is the sword OP but the armor is superior. By that, it puts kitters at a disadvantage. This comment isn't aimed at you but at all people that hate kits, you better get used to it because there is always an unfair advantage.
The kitters can find diamonds and armor... also including the bonus of the kits. This is still an unfair game. The kitters and non-kitters both have the same chance of getting a dsword.
I agree, kitters and non-kitters would have the same chance of finding diamond equipment. However, what is the point? The Survival Games are fine just like they are now with wood, stone, and rare iron stuff. There do not need to be diamonds.
This would be crazy overpowered. Sure, it takes longer to kill people wearing it, but when kit users get these (and trust me, if it were added it'd be a when), kit users would just become more overpowered. Fact is, there's not really an item based change to help non-kit users against kit users that doesn't either nerf the kits themselves or make kitters far too overpowered.
would only like this if ther was only 1 diamond per sg match, or 2 that have to spawn in the hardest chests to reach, and the player should only be able to reach the location without being able to leave. Which means the player could only craft the sword during deathmatch.
The server just added stone swords and gold ingots, so I don't think they will add diamonds in the nearest future. But it would have been fun if lets say 1/10 games had 1 piece of a diamond armor in 1 chest, it can be boots, helmet or leggings. But only 1 of em every 10 game. That could be fun/interesting.
