dumbest things people have asked you about your country

I'm from MI and get asked so many stupid things because of travelers with the new "Pure michigan" thing.
Q: when do you get to surf, it has water here, right?

That is one that I was completely just dumbfounded by, how come you think that you can surf in MI, I understand that there is water... But really? C'mon man, the lakes are huge but not that big... Lol...

I live in a tiny country in central america called Costa Rica, and the kind of things people ask me are ridiculous, sort of like...
Is that a place you made up?No.
Is that in Mexico?No.
Do people speak English there?Yes, if you don't speak English it's hard to get a good job.
Do you live in tin houses?(some people do, but usually in large farms)
Where is it?I don't blame people for that, the country's quite small.
Is there internet there?Yes... sort of...
Are there cars and cities?Cars, yes, cities... that's debatable.
Does it snow?Tropical paradise= no snow...

That's some of the dumbest questions i have been asked about where i live, but i think that's enough...

 

I always thought the national language of CR was Spanish. The more you know...

 

It is but most of the lots of people speak englsih, around 2/3.
