Nether stars are only obtainable via killing a wither, so x-Ray wouldn't be a problem. As far as mob finders go, they can only track nearby Mona from what I've seen. Hacked clients wouldn't be a problem.
I understood to include chests with nstars upon a world reset (manually placed), like the random prize chests a reset MANY months ago had, those can be found with chestfinders. If it were to be withers as nstar source, their drop rates would need to be modified to prevent them from dropping wither skulls as they are worth more than just a fortune right now. Also, maybe more than one nstar since killing a wither is not /that/ easy to only get 500-600$.
I didn't really hear anything about chests with nether stars in them - which you're right, there can be a problem with players using chestfinder and making a fortune. As for withers, I do agree that we should probably modify the drop rates.
Common misconception. The way most xrays are coded is by removing blocks from being visable (nrack, stone, etc), thus leaving behind anything that isn't rendered invisable, including mobs, tiles, whatever it didn't render transparent.
Meh, if this was added, maybe disable fly in the nether for those who have it. It just isn't fair for those non-donors, everything worth getting in the nether is gone within a day or so, due to people flying around
It isn't fair for someone who spent $120 to fly in the nether to just take it away. Donators are supposed to have an advantage.
That's true, I suppose. But I still think you would almost call that Pay to Win, considering that it would be nearly impossible for those without fly in the nether to get hidden nstars when flying people with speed could go across the map in minutes
Do you know what the mods do to people who use hacked clients? First they use the hacked client sensors, then they take out this moderator-only weapon called a ban hammer, then they raise the ban hammer, and then start lowering it onto the hacker.
"Hacked client sensors"? Lol... No. Sure, the possibility of bans are always there... Still rather not implement this though.
It would be cool for some other way of income in the nether then just quartz. However i fear this will not lead to more activity on general. This will lead to few player's daring to enter, and other dont think its worth going there. risk vs reward. easy solution is just to upp the server prices on quartz. quartz is easy access around nether and in my opinion more players might enter to farm it, instead of doing melon's/pumpkins etc etc. But in ECC pvp isent what the main players base look for. in sg games there is little reward vs risk, since you dont actually loose anything except time spent there, no items etc. The server admins/makers might have to try and do lots of changes to find an solution that fits the eco server in general, so they dont mess up the economy for one thing. another solution is to take away pvp, and add more and stronger hostile mobs that drops good stuff. So you might have to work togheter in groups to survive there?
Not really sure I like the idea but I believe it could be added via a mcmmo drop. Perhaps something like 1200-1600 mining on quartz and a .00001% chance of drop? Not sure if this would work but I know prismarine shards/crystals drop from soul-sand after 800 excav.
