Obblebobble Scam Relief Fund

You want to profit $600,000 when there are people who are down just as much as that? That's a similar level of greed which got Obble into this mess in the first place.

 

I find claims like Blaze's questionable then. How is he eligible for reimbursement at all when he made profit?

 

He shouldn't be. He should still owe 600k

 

What I've determined from reading contracts -

Most (maybe all?) people who owe money owe banned investors personally.
@WhiteSoxFan123 (1.5m) and partially @KMaxwell (250k but not melon sword) are owed by Eekelmo via the Vault of ECC.
Most of the rest who are owed by banned investors had their contracts tied to the vault of ECC in the beginning of the contract and nowhere else. So that's up for interpretation.

 

this is why they need to carefully think about who they give money to. there is always someone greedy enough to try and profit from other peoples misfortune and the generosity of the community.

 

There's always the list of investors as well as people who have taken out loans. Do simple math to see if they deserve anything.
Of course that's more work... but this isn't something that will be fixed quickly.

 

yea still tho need to be careful there are in game contracts and stuff that might not have been listed

 

It's not a quick process... but I'm sure they'll be careful and take their time.

@MCHelix3000 May I suggest waiting a week or two and then splitting the funds proportionally between everyone who has proof that they've been scammed.

 

I mean - I'd ultimately give @andrewkm the power of whether to determine if this:

would mean that the loan was owed by the Vault of ECC and not just Obble if the rest of the contract referred exclusively to Obble. I'd assume it would mean it was VoE's loan but it seems pretty unfair to have Eekelmo shoulder all this burden, what with the scam relief fund already reaching Willclo levels.

This donation is strictly conditioned on it being used to repay scammed players. If any of these funds are going to be used to salvage whatever "VoE" is, I won't be donating anything.

 

My investment with Eekelmo was, via contract, transferred to THCOOL.

The melon sword that I invested has been returned.

The funds that I had invested with Obble I was allowed to withdraw early, and I presume that means any interest that would have been earned on the involved loans would no longer come to me.
