What led to my statement that you have no idea what you're talking about is the statement that calculator somehow causes "lag". Utilizing //calc won't really lag, at all, for the matter, and I have no idea where you got that concept from. If you're able to provide proof it somehow causes lag, go for it.
Dang, I didn't know //calc got removed when I was away, please add this back! It helped me so much with SG splits and more etc +1
Thanks andrew! I believe it was all worlds, but I may be wrong. Main world would just be fine. Used for: Quick little calculations Quick sg splits Debt calculations, etc.
I'm just going to quote, and point out most of the current conversation. 1. You are able to use your Calculator on your computer, real life, or on a website. Such as https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=calculator 2. It can cause lag to the server if used for certain amounts of time, bugs can also be caused, and common mistakes can happen due to lags, bugs, or glitches with programing, causing fights, and unintentional disagreements due to a miss calculation. 3. It is harder to use compared to a regular calculator. As you can't just type in the amount, or press. You have to do //calc 50 x 64, people may make mistakes with typing, and ultimately be super confused with the command. 4. It was unadded for a reason by the developers. 5. It will have to be added in the tutorial. A new 'build maintenance', will have to take place. 6. Developers will have to make a new /help command over going the //calc command once more. Over all concept is bad to implement. You are able to use a regular calculator on your computer, website, or real calculator. All easy of use without miscalculations. -10,
It was just a permission that they added to //calc. There wasn't anything wrong with it. How to use: Addition: //calc 10+5 Subtraction: //calc 10-5 Multiplication: //calc 10*5 Division: //calc 10/5 Not very hard, we were able to figure it out without any /help page or anything
Yes, we know. But sometimes it's easier to just type //calc (40*90)/20 instead of opening your calculator first. (I always have my calculator open, so I don't really have this problem) But just because it's possible another way, doesn't mean it shouldn't be added. It's a calculator. A computer can calculate complex mathematics in less than a millisecond. That has got to be the silliest counter-argument I've heard so far. You can make mistakes using any other calculator as well, lol. It was given a permission. it wasn't "unadded", it simply requires people to have a permission now. (like every other command on the server) wat. You're not making much sense here.
Two things speak against that: Convenience with no disadvantages (See below) and use within macros (Like my statistics macro) that can't use external sources. Performing standard //calc equations is one of the servers easiest tasks, I would say. You enter the term like you would enter it on a normal calculator? (Unless you are doing algebraic calculations, which can be done with //calc as well, but not with some default calculators.) They added a permission because everything else within the plugin is bound to permissions, so why should //calc be an exception? See 3. See 5. EDIT: Aw, kuke was faster.
I was able to use it for every single world, I also used the command for SG splits, lottery percentages, and debt calculations. Thanks for adding this back!
That is of course if the user(s) have never used it. They would think they need spaces, or quotes, which causes problems. Re-stated scenarios.
spaces don't affect anything, though. and who the hell thinks quotes are needed? that would be the first time for me. Your scenarios are gibberish and assume everyone has an IQ of 50.
To be honest I think that was supposed to be an insult, but it turned into a joke the way you said it xD. Its clearly written in English Form, and its enough to convience someone in the argument who should agree with who. Likewise, I'm not going to fight with you anymore. You seem inpatient, perhaps its about posting on the forums to much, or dealing with agro people all day. I used to encounter a lot of those people lol. So I'm just leaving it up to the staff, and players now. It will most likely stay the same, as I barley see owners actually go on a suggestion, and post their thoughts on it.
