If you know what factions are, it's a little more like that. Its basically survival mode, or LAN, but as a whole server. You can also make teams, but there is no official "team" part to it, more just trust.
What do you need other than getting the users items? but yea i guess something like that would be cool.
What about a PVP mining world with more ores? More reward for more risk? Or perhaps a PVP world where buildings, adventures, and things are constantly designed by anyone who is interested.

All please post on this thread and on that one as well. Something major needs to be done with pvp and i think this is a great idea or even the old arenas. So definitly +1 I also think this is a good way for this to be implemented i like the idea of more ores being in that world for a larger risk of obtaining them. I also think the second thing you said was kinda tied into the PvP mining world idea because players will constantly be building new buildings and greifing them so i think this is also a great solution as well.
Ehh I kinda like this idea. How factions worked 2 years ago: build a sweet base, have a super fun time with friends, have epic battles. How factions work now: "We should be unraidable. We got full obby walls covered with layers of water! Then, a donator walks by! "Blows giant hole in base that spent hours to make with donator perks and OP stuff. This is why I don't like factions anymore.
+1! I like this! Just saying this has been attempted by clou and revan with their nightmare games. But a whole world would be awesome. I always want to build a castle, have a good army and fight others, but thats simply not possible without certain limits. The pvp arenas currently suck. Also maybe make like when you enter that world have a separate inventory for there? would be a fun starting over without the need to bother about money and stuff!
Just gonna throw this out here anyone worried about a world where minimal people go causing lag *cough* aether *cough* it would get its use out of it the community has showed interest in this kind of thing. Anyway ya all this has been discussed in the suggestion I made which @master_blaster12 kindly linked I encourage you if you haven't all ready go give that a read.
I agree with what @OnSceneReporter said. I saw a Prison server that had a mine where you could go and it had all the valuables int he mine. But the whole area was pvp. I think adding a pvp mining area with more ores is a great idea
yes but im talking about a pvp world where you can build bases and fight you would have to protect your base. Not a world where you fight for ores.
There would have to be some benefit to having bases and clans in a pvp mining world. I don't think simply letting people form clan towns is enough... And certainly there should be either some hefty expense or limiting factor otherwise everyone would claim land... There are plugins that could be manipulated in a system like how we have the towns system... It's just a matter of designing a gameplay benefit for clan towns/bases - how this will relate to individual players, and organized clans. The gameplay should probably be designed with the idea that a PVP mining world should be reset every so often. The creation of a PVP mining world could really legitimize the enchanting, brewing, and block markets by creating a infinite money/item sink --- again, only so long as there is a viable and unique gameplay benefit that will motivate people, new and old, to keep coming back -- otherwise it's just another PVP world.
I never said anything about claiming land You build where ever you want griefing is 100% allowed if you do not hide protect/defend your base yes it will be destroyed that is how pvp works.
