If you were to look at the original suggestion, he stated that the winners would receive "gems" instead of money. This doesn't sound like it includes the money you earn from kills, because you don't have to win to earn that. As for players making more money off of sg's; so what? People make extra money off of netherstars when they sell those, and those are earned from voting. These "gems" should not be treated very differently from how our netherstars currently are. If people choose to buy them , then that helps to stimulate the market.
I would rather have a consistent way to make money and no have to worry whether these "gem" prices don't go up and down.
If the server price for each "gem" was set to $100 and the winner received 1 gem per player in the game, it wouldn't matter whether or not the player price fluctuates. The base price would always remain the same. I understand that it is more convenient to just earn the money right away, but with something like this added, it would allow for further customization of our SG's. I feel that the ideas I've been arguing for are pretty solid compromises that benefit everyone as a whole.
My main question is, what item is there that is not already easily obtainable that we could turn into 'gems'. Further if this isn't regulated then someone could save up gems and then be OP in SG with kits and the Gems. That would make SG even more unfair then it is already with the kits.
