+1 (to the post i replied to) all agricultural goods should get decreased prices. Personally i can ring up a redstone donator and have him wire up a auto sugarcane farm and can probably break even quickly.
I actually think this would be beneficial if it was raised a small amount but I can't make a proper estimate because I forgot about how much star rods made. If the star rod became a little more profitable but still less than other methods of making money, people may be attracted to it due to its low amount of effort needed. This means that there would be more people using the star rod and less people using the more profitable methods of making money, therefore lowering inflation. Other than that, it would also help remove nstars from the economy.
We should all remember that fishing is really easy to afk/autoclick, and there's barely any effort involved.
If they would just get rid of the trash errr.... treasure - the price could stay the same as far as I am concerned. Or at least somehow make the trash worth more than a nickle or two.
This is an interesting reasoning. I'm not sure it would actually go as you stated, but the idea is interesting.
+1 star rod market = ded raise price of fish = more people fishing and buying star rods more people fishing = star rod market no longer ded
I am not sure that the price of fish needs to go up - the amount of cra.... errr "treasure" needs to be reduced so that we are actually able to catch some fish instead of filling our inventory with useless junk.
Okay, you make about 6k/hour with a star rod. In this suggestion, we're about doubling the price. So now I'll make 12k/hour. We're just fixing the price to make star rods a competitive alternative to melon swords. I don't see any problems with that.
