    Melons actually sell for 2$ each, however they take way too long to break so pumpkins are more profitable.

    I meant to say melon slices($0.25 each), and each melon block that grows drops 4-8 slices

    anyways, melons are more profitable but only with the proper tools. A silk touch pickaxe is needed, unless you have an insane herbalism level to double it pretty much everytime.
