Depending on the server you want to do color chat on.

Like Rinne said, it depends on the server.
But pretty much you have to be a donor on that server to do colored chat and colored signs. The donor rank for which it can be done is different on each server that it's allowed on.

I asked about greeting in skygrid, and anyone is allowed to do colored greetings, it's just a different command from normal colored chat. What all the commands are, I'm not sure. I was told &g was lime green and &G was dark green.
