Should Scamming Be Allowed?

I find only those who do scamming actually agree to keep it, fact is it's allowed but it's really annoying to hear the constant crys of less mindful individuals and it's not right that those who even have the mind set to do such things even exist on any server, those that scam are mere cowards who are unworthy of the items they "fairly take" it's not fairly taken at all it's scamming it's using the plot of a lie to lead others into a sense of faulse security of trying to join a raid or even a faction, I'm sorry but if your so low as to fake letting someone join your faction in order to just kill them and leave them dry your a shameful individual.

Granted for those of us with a better understanding that in factions even before scamming became a major part of gameplay we knew after the first week or two that noone can be trusted or relyed upon but it should've stopped there it's bad enough we can't even protect our lands against people who hold bigger factions with more power, let alone the risk of even making a faction with greedy indivudals who only care to destroy your work, sure it's part of pvp but honestly scamming isn't funny it's annoying just as much so as people spamming chat with BS or requests to join someones faction.

I've been on factions for quite some time and I've accepted the reality of it is you've got balls to make a faction above ground even though some of the "unfair" items and abilities have been removed it doesn't stop people from scaling walls with a 1x1 set of dirt or having them overclaim lands in order to destory yours while your away but these are tricks much like scamming simple cowardis unworthy of pvp if people are going to be serious they need to take the actual time and do it right people on there now only care about "being the best" well you don't become the "best" by being cowards stealing items and killing people on there.

If you want to be the best in my opinion have the balls to actually build up a fort or whatnot amass a faction army and declare war against anyone who goes against you then and only then would you truly be the best pvper it's about numbers of people not petty ways of trickery and deciet, but I don't expect my words to go to anyone as most would being the children they are and tell me "go to survival" or some other crap like that, I don't expect pvp to change but I still have hope people will learn to take the challange of real pvp rather than this petty fight weaker opponents, destroy lands while undefended and scam people who are only looking for a better experiance if you think about it what you think is funny for you isn't funny to all and it puts more a bad name on our server than I think any look at or care to notice.

I personally did not take the time to read your book Elder...I apologize. I see scamming as a way to keep factions interesting. Without scamming, there is no key to trading. If you wish to remove scamming you can install the /tr command to factions but that will become very boring and extremely less interesting as well as unfair in the way that someone could trade another person items that they need in a battle at that moment. Scamming is a way of life for factions. No scamming, no factions. :/

 

what a load of shit, primate scamming isn't nessisary and it has absolutely nothing to do with proper traiding, it's not a way of life unless your a cowardis thief trying to show how unworthy and pathetic you are not to actually earn items. As far as I see scamming is not interesting at all it's utterly annoying even if it's not me being the one getting scammed but to know some moron does "guys seriously stop doing /pay(such and such) -$9000. or "everyone do /f open and get free loot or money" or the constant shit of "tp to me I got a raid" it's the fact I know these people are lying that pisses me off, why can't people have some fucking dignity and honor some self respect let alone some for others".

But I suppose I expect too much for petty scum of the world to actually grow up and be adults or atleast mature enough to be considdered real or accepted as an equal it's why I call them out on it and ruin their scams because the way I see it if I can ruin your chance of an easy kill or steal then I did good for the server.

 

Wouldn't everyone be considered a cowardis thief... Since raiding is basically stealing..

 

If you honestly don't like scamming then don't play factions... About every faction server out there allows scamming, so good luck find one that don't. We're not going to change the rules on scamming any time soon on factions and that's final. Scamming has been on AEM's factions since the day it opened.

 

It doesn't really look like this thread is going anywhere o_o.. Lock maybe?

 

Like I said I don't expect it to change at all though I would say if it's allowed we should remove the curse kicker and yeah your right diamonds it would and does technically but like with scamming it won't change, I tolerate it as much as everyone else though I don't agree or support it but I'm only one compaired to the server. so yes feel free to close the thread.

 

but I will say this much as I don't find it a disgression against the rules if scamming is allowed but spamming is not and they spam a scam is that allowed? because if so we should really think of what that should cover because most who scam spam chat with it so I don't see it wrong of me to report that much.
