I was thinking it would be kind of cool to have like a world map (survival build world only) It would benefit people in where to start new towns or creations so that they don't build right beside another area that someone is building in. It also makes it easier to navigate it might even bring new forum members in aswell! (hopefully) I have seen other servers do it and it's really good. (Quite cool to see everyones creations on this little map )
I like the idea and I would like to have a map of the survival build world. It is just nice to have it, so the creations you or other people have made are saved and you can keep watching them without rebuilding it in your own single player world. Although I don't think this would happen.. But let's hope!
we had something like that before xD it was pretty cool, the map was browser based so we could stalk our own base all the time. If people TP-ed to your place you can see their heads there :X
If it was Dynmap, I know there are much lighter versions out there, concerning server resource usage, anyway. This would be a fantastic addition to the feature list! Major roads and highways would be so much more tangible, given the ability to map out between destinations and around mountains and other obstacles. It would really give the world a heightened sense of connection, in my opinion
Well there's quite a few alternatives to Dynmap, ranging from the larger Minecraft Overviewer to some lighter ones like Pigmap (which happens to be wildly out of date, so here's a fork that supports up to 1.9). Take a look if you're interested, there's tons out there.
I agree I think adding a survival build world only map would be wonderful. I know of some other severs with these and it seems to draw in people.
