How to join on Java

Join EcoCityCraft in Minecraft Java Edition

  1. Open Minecraft: Java Edition on your computer.
  2. Choose Multiplayer → Add Server. Enter web.ecc.eco as the Server Address.
  3. Click Done, select your saved server and click Join Server.

Open a chest shop of your own

Chest shops are available from Builder rank. Set your own prices and buy or sell items with other players. Place your shop where you have building permission; resource worlds cannot host chest shops.

Turn your earnings into a bigger goal

Progress from Builder to Resident, then work toward Mayor. The Mayor application uses EcoDollars and creates a protected town with membership controls. Check the current requirements before applying.

Find player shops before you log in

Search ShopDB by item, town or merchant. Choose whether you want to buy or sell, filter by Main server and find directions to a shop. Stock reflects ShopDB’s latest observations; check the shop in game before trading.

Your first session

Start small. Find your first opportunity.

You do not need to own a town to get started. Learn the commands, choose an earning activity and get to know the player market.

  1. Get your bearings. Use /tutorial for the in-game introduction.
  2. Pick a Job. Open /jobsinfo and check the activities a job pays for before you join it.
  3. Know your money. Use /balance to check your EcoDollars and /worth to check a held item’s server sale value. Player shop prices can differ.

Minecraft economy roots since 2011

EcoCityCraft’s original Minecraft Forum thread dates to 2011. That history is a reason to explore the community: its player guides, town projects and years of discussion are there to read before you join.

Questions before you join

What is a Minecraft economy server?
A Minecraft economy server adds earning, spending and trading to multiplayer gameplay. On EcoCityCraft, EcoDollars connect Jobs, player-run chest shops and progression toward owning a town.
How do I make money as a new player?
Start with the Builder Jobs available through /jobsinfo, then explore trading with other players. Check /worth for server sale values and compare them with player shop prices. The Jobs guide explains how to join and earn.
Do I need to buy a rank to play?
EcoCityCraft is free to join with Minecraft. Builders can use Jobs and create chest shops. Optional store upgrades include gameplay benefits, such as Jobs income bonuses and additional slots; read the Jobs upgrade details before buying.
Can I claim a town as soon as I join?
Town ownership is a progression goal. Work through Resident toward Mayor, meet the current application requirements and pay the in-game EcoDollar fee. The Mayor guide explains town size, protection and membership.
Is EcoCityCraft the oldest Minecraft economy server?
EcoCityCraft’s original Minecraft Forum listing dates to 2011, documenting its early economy-server history. The original thread is the place to explore that history; it does not mean every world or balance has stayed unchanged.
Has EcoCityCraft ever reset?
Yes. The official 2018 Main reset announcement is part of the server’s history. Resource worlds also regenerate. Read the current world guide before choosing a building location.
How do I join on Java or Bedrock?
In Minecraft Java Edition, open Multiplayer, choose Add Server and enter web.ecc.eco. Save it, select EcoCityCraft and choose Join Server. Bedrock players should follow the separate Bedrock connection guide.
