Sorry for the stupid question, but... I guess there's a limit to the size an island can have, isn't there? I mean, as it grows larger, at some point it's bound to cross the borders with someone else's island. In my understanding, other people cannot put/remove blocks in your island unless invited, so there must be a region of some sort (though its information is inaccessible to us via command, just tried that). So: is there a fixed limit (and how much would that be), or does the limit grow with the size up to the point where two islands' borders cross (and therefore, the sooner you grow, the more land air you can reclaim)?
There already is. Each person has about a 220x220 area (not certain on the exact area). There is a no man's land in between each island of a couple hundred blocks.
Does "no man's land" mean that it cannot be built in, thus leaving the islands disconnected forever, or that anyone can build (and destroy/grief) in?
No one can build in the no man's land. They are "no man's land" (such as spawn). The islands will stay separated I assume to prevent afk'ing on one benefiting the other.
Thanks how do you know all this? I mean, if you're not staff, that info must be public somehow and I failed to find it
A few staff have commented about it. Also I have tested boundaries of islands. Don't think there is any official public info out there.
