Minecraft Name: Jason1964 Suggestion: Hate and Flame posts on threads be deleted instead of the thread being locked. At staff discretion. Reason: Currently if I make a thread and 3-4 people post on it and flame at me, or flame at each other, the staff could come along if it continues and lock my thread. I was helpless in the face of this since the other members practically closed down my thread. I suggest that staff instead delete these posts, and allow me to continue my thread without the flame. Now yes, sometimes the thread itself is far too much of a flame starter, or is flame/hate itself. That of course should be locked. At staff discretion, if my thread is not a flame starter or a hate thread, any flame/hate posts on it should be deleted, instead of the thread itself being locked. Any Other Information: I am aware that deleted posts can't be searched for, but I'm practically helpless if people start flaming on my thread and suddenly it gets shut down. I agree with the idea but I cant see it going into effect due to it just being easier to lock the post rather than read through the post and fine post's that are flaming, some posts may be taken as flaming by mods or people outside but from the two peoples perspective it is not flaming, but it also works on the flip where they might not remove some threads correctly allowing the flaming to go on. I do think that mods have been a little lock happy recently but that's not gonna go anywhere so I will leave that rant.
Although, I may have a valid, non-hate, non-flame thread, and some people are just too hot-headed to keep from flaming/hating all over the place on it. So I can't make this valid thread anymore. I just think staff need to discuss it, have it brought to their awareness. Keep their eye open for deliberate haters/flamers.
Possible. It easily solves any hate, keeps the thread from being locked down, and eliminates people who can't keep their emotions under control.
