Tombstone broken?

I dont know if its just with killing myself, but when ever I do kill myself I do not get a tombstone. I am in my town, and I have a wide open area. Another player reported having problems with tombstone spawning unless he just fell down.

 

That area is my town but I will try another area later.

 

It seems tombstone my be broken, I do not know if its just me or not.
I was in my town and caught myself on fire after hearing it may have problems.

thats the area I died in. I jumped in the lava over in the corner then hopped back out and ran towards the middle and died.

 

So, apparently tombstone works from falling.

 

apparently there is still an issue with tombstone in the update. Have heard a couple reports from users about it not spawning.
