Honestly, Ive been getting really annoyed with some staff taking advantage of their powers. After visiting some staff member island I saw a lot of things normal players can't obtain or not allowed to do. One member has a Wither in a cage and they named it on the boss bar on top of the screen. Another member has player heads and and colored name tags (Jeb for example.)

 

Hey Cycle, I know you are talking about the wither on my island. I apologize if it seems unfair and I will destroy it tonight as soon as I get on. I never thought about how it would look to anyone else as it was a gift/joke from another staff member.

As for the spawn egg, we looked into the issue and have gotten several different stories on how it got into Skyblock, who so-and-so got it from, how the player even came into possession of the egg. Because no one seems to know anything or is willing to tell us how they got it, I don't believe we can find out how this happened. I can only tell you that I will be keeping an eye on the players involved. Please let us know if any of you see other items that shouldn't be there.

 

Basically, TDOG1600 found a spawn egg on a staff member's island. He auc'd it off, to dia for 6.8k. Muse destroyed it, and refunded Diamonds. 'nuff said

 

I am confused here... is TDOG apart of a staff member's island?

 

as for the wither there is nothing unfair of that, every player can have it and i spend hours farming for those heads

 

If you name a wither, the boss bar's name will change, it is no admin abuse it is all right, in Skygrid, players spawn one under their shop and name it _______'s Shop it's really cool I love the idea.

 

Sorry @Meg1626 @HedgeTheHog @Volkrot i wasn't aware of that with the naming and I thought that we had to kill the Wither immediately after we spawned it.

 

@CycleFire Withers are allowed to be kept by any player as long as they are caged because we don't want them wondering off to other islands killing players and/or passive mobs. Also, most players kill the withers right away because they want the nether star to make a beacon. I have all the beacons I need so I didn't need to kill the wither for that. I killed my wither last night and threw the nether star into the void since I did not personally collect the heads and spawn the wither myself. However, I will say that I have two wither skeleton heads and plan on getting a third and will spawn another wither which I WILL be keeping on my island. If anyone has an issue with it once I do this, please send them directly to me as I will have lots of screen shots of the process.

@Diamonds1358 I have never done it, but I believe if you name one of the wither skeleton heads or all of them before you spawn the wither, it will be named. @Volkrot or @HedgeTheHog correct me if I'm wrong or I can also test this in creative gamemode and let everyone know.

As for the spawn egg, it looks like it was a glitch. Muse, Trubs, and I got the story straight from TDOG himself on where he found the egg. Because it seems to be a glitch, we can't prevent it from happening again and will have to rely on staff and all the awesome Skyblock players to keep an eye on things and alert us to anything else that shouldn't be in game.

You can type ./summon WitherBoss ~ ~ ~ {CustomName:"<Wither's Name>"} and it will spawn one, but you either need to be an OP, or have the '*' permission node

 

Yes we can, but the point we are making is that we don't do that. We don't spawn in withers, we collect the skulls from killing wither skeletons and spawn them that way...

 

I know, I was just saying another way to do it, but there is really no other way to spawn it in, other than ./summon ./mob and the heads

place a name tag on a wither and it has a name, this is not staff spawning named mobs, get your facts straight
