When you put up a shop with a sign, you can not edit the sign, after it is activated, UNLESS you hold a other sign in your hand, and rightclick the shopsign. Easy as that.

Since some people didn't know that apparently, I tought it is a good tip for all shop owners, so you don't have to destroy the sign and put it up again, in order to make a small change.
