His point is people typically pay for something that is original... not something that they can get off of youtube and build themselves.

 

Maybe he wont be copying those builds exactly, maybe they are examples of what he can build showing how good his creation skills are. Or if someone would want him to build those houses, their reason may be one of which not having to much time to do so or are to lazy to do so. However, it is his thread and if someone wants him to build houses for them off of YouTube then that's what they want, people do it all the time, just they most of the time change the design of the build.

 

Even so people can't really be asked to build sometimes and follow a guide so they'd rather hire someone like him to do it lol

 

If I had a dollar for every Keralis house I saw on this server... you get where I'm going. The point is that nobody cares. Besides, most builders only take part of the youtube builds and structure before adding their own modifications so it's rarely ever an exact copy.

 

Uh just saying I'm not hating on the idea... If people wanna pay for this service then by all means go ahead. I was just explaining his point since 0ram seemed to be a bit confused about.

Anyway, good luck on the business @0ram. People are lazy so you should be able to make some good $ out of this :thumbsup:

 

Copying isn't really a skill. Even if he modifies the design, people first see part of it and think it is copied. I'd say it is poor presentation.

The bigger problem is someone may think something is original, but it would not be. And it wouldn't be very nice to find out later.
However, seeing as he specifies his inspired builds at the time of this post, it will hopefully not be an issue.

And as for you, @0ram, I suggest you add another color to your original designs. Cyan clay is the usual block to go with, but you can pick any clay that you like.

I'd like to place an order for a house inspired by image 3 with landscape like image 1 with maybe some more flowers added in the landscape. We've already discussed dimensions and location.
