Add more to the stock trader

So I logged on to the new stock feature and was disappointed with the lack of the following features:

• Dividend payment
• Ability to Shortsell, make limit orders, make stop sell orders, etc.

Also I would like to suggest new features including the possibility to:

• Transfer stock held to people like one may transfer money from forum banks in the future
• Buy mutual funds/bonds for safer minded investors

I think that if all these features were implemented it would make the stocks more interactive then push a button wait 3+ days and see if you "won". This way people could be creative with short selling bad stocks, making limit orders to buy forward in time by setting the price they want it to buy at and stop selling orders so the stock trader presses the sell button for them as soon as it reaches the right price. Not only will this allow less active forum goers the ability to trade better it will allow more money to be created in a make sense way. As for trading stock between players I think that this would be good for people who want to get creative with their money and allows extra depth to the economy almost like an extra dimension where people can sell their stocks to each other for example that person may believe it will rise back up later. Please take this into consideration and feel free to vote on the poll.

 

Wow a reply from the founder. Ok didn't know this was a plugin thing thanks for answering this. I will go and check the link you gave and may try to raise more ECC based support.

 

After reading the developer's forum I have no other suggestions aside from saying that eventually you should be able to "wire" money via forum banks just as an extra way to keep money safe unless it's a massive security issue. One idea though is adding small transaction fees and using them for something. There was an old suggestion of using lotto tax to pay back scammed players and although I don't want to reopen that can of worms as it was was a World War here on the forums, I would say that you could use transaction fees and other such options of the stock trader to do the same thing without impeding on the special lotto tax based lottos. But that was a controversial suggestion so don't feel pressured towards that.
