Reason being is for a typical door, a gate is much easier to create than the door feature. Which is great for a more complex build, (like casinos) but honestly makes an awful door. But upon thinking about this, my real suggestion is that if we can place it, I think it should be part of Doors, Gates, and Bridges. It would make for interesting and creative builds. If that can't be done, please consider updating the list of blocks that can be used for gates to include concrete, terracotta, woods, slabs, stones, glass, and panes. I always wondered why there haven't been more block types added to the ExtCreations features. If it involves some sort of exploit, then I would much rather have the plugin disabled until a fix is found over having a restricted selection of block types. +1
For gates it auto senses around the sign for qualifying blocks then grabs them and checks for a containing structure. Rinse repeat till it finds a qualifying match. The more blocks the longer the search, and the more fails you have because you built a containing structure out of gateable mats. I would like to see some blocks added though. +1
Be great if instead of searching for those blocks, it was set to only be usable for whats loaded into the sign itself. (Not sure if thats an option)
Definitely +1, I noticed you can't make gates with colored glass recently and was sad. Would be awesome to have more options!
You can, but most people don't. the fall back option is what eats the cycles. colored panes would be a sweet add!
So back in the olden days, I was always told the materials list was restricted due to dupe bugs. However, if we're adding simple, cheap mats, it should be okay. I would like a larger variety but there should be a cut off somewhere. So +1
+1 I stopped making doors or gates because the materials don’t match some of my builds for instance I have a Japanese temple made of wood and pros marine and the gate mats don’t match up well
Completely agree. (The same with Doors as Chiseled Stone Brick isnt even on the Doors) Adding the stone variants of walls could be a nice addition for creative users to throw in their builds. +1
