I like the idea, and I think this would be nice for things like dirt, stone, and other basic filler blocks, but I think this might be really to op for things like Nether wart farms when placing soul sand, and thus put people at a huge disadvantage when building large farms if they didn't have one of these tools to speed place blocks.

Your point about "building large farms" is pretty arbitrary if you want to prevent it from being used with soul sand but you think dirt is okay.

Not arbitrary, because i wasn't thinking of dirt for farm land, but because you bring it up, that does make sense as why to include even those blocks as a negative.

 

I mean I'll still disagree with your point.

"Let's add a tool for building but not let you build anything useful with it". Silly.

I personally love this suggestion and think it would be great for many things, such as farms. I would love if it could be added to an existing feature though (ExtCommandsPlus2 preferably).

+1 this would be very useful for speeding up building time. Plus there are not tooany building related magic tools so this would be nice.

 

-1 I agree it would be a super useful tool. But I feel like it would be wayyyyyyyyyy to Overpowered. Plus going back to the basis of the server.... THE GRIND. If you could just instantly cover a 50x50 area, where is the grind in that. Nice idea, but don't think it is in the spirit of the server.

This tool would be extremely useful for building.

 

For your first point: How even would this be overpowered? I can place 14+ blocks a second with a macro so why not just add this as a QoL tool for people who don't want to macro place?

Second point: I can still place 14+ blocks a second with a macro. There is no grind in this example unless we're splitting hairs and talking about a difference in a million plus blocks placed, and even then, it would still be done faster with my macro from the looks of it in the video.

ECC keeps adding all of these tools for making more money... but what about tools that are actually useful for practical purposes? The only one I can think of is the Magic Shovel. This doesn't necessarily make money, but it does offer something far more valuable to any of us than EcoDollars ever could be: time. I certainly don't undervalue how precious time is to myself, and I'm sure many of us feel the same way.
While I did mention it doesn't necessarily make money, it could definitely become a building service akin to the Magic Shovel's clearing services. I personally think it's a wonderful idea.
