+1 I would love to see it gone altogether, and I'm curious how guys like parker would feel if there was just a direct donation option that still counts towards godkeys so that they dont have to buy exp or ecd in order to get the keys, which is largely what they want.

I would certainly agree with saying you shouldn't have been able to buy xp from the store, but you could. If this were a suggestion being made with no other context, I'd probably agree.

HOWEVER @MinecraftParkerH has objectively the single largest stake in this market. With from what I understand as 1.5 dchests of jigsaws - that's tens of thousands of USD of experience as it is. If xp suddenly were to become much harder to get, who would realize that benefit?

Parker has said in conversations with me that he's just looking to help the nstar market. However I think this suggestion reveals a little bit of important context

If you're trying to help the market, why are you buying it? I get that this is one of the best USD to ECD rates that you can find, but that only matters if you intend to sell it. I would think a more natural sale would be buying ecd, selling feats, or some other deal -- something to provide you with the cash for more nstars in the first place.

tldr: -1 for effectively giving one person even further extreme control over this market

If this suggestion had come out 4-5 month ago, I would have immediately +1’d it. However, the goal of removing/reducing EXP in the shop was to prevent a situation where somebody such as Koko/Parker could generate double chest upon double chest of netherstars into the economy. Unfortunately, this has already come to pass, and is a reality in our economy.

Removing/reducing EXP from the store at this point would simply disadvantage everybody else, limiting nstar generation and providing extreme control to Parker over the nstar market.

Tbh, if this was anybody else suggesting this, I would’ve agreed, but given the context from what Nicit said and what you said in your last suggestion, this would really go to benefit yourself more than help the market. If exp/nstars were harder to obtain, you’d benefit a lot from this since you hold a large sum of jigsaws and nstars, and can easily flood the market back. Not saying you would do this, but the idea of it is scary to everyone else.

So yeah, huge -1. Only way I would agree with this suggestion is if you burn all your jigsaws and nstars as that would give everyone else peace of mind.

Killing the price so that only people who see buying exp as worth it will buy it is horrible.
Irl, if we raised the price of apples so high that regular people can’t afford it and only the rich could, nothing is stopping the rich from stockpiling and then using apples for their own self-gain.

 

I'm in two minds about this.

+1 as you can get a lot of xp for relatively cheap so I do believe something needs to be done in regards to this however -1 as, as mentioned previously, it would mean two people would control the xp market based on the thousands of USD spent between yourself and Koko. I think there's a personal agenda to this suggestion and as such I don't believe it is in the benefit of the majority that this suggestion has been made. It would create a monopoly on NStars/XP which, in any economy, is not a good thing.

Overall, I would have to -1 this suggestion.

 

I just want to make a point here, if Parker or Koko wanted to they could already control the xp market, some argue they already do, I can understand all the -1’s if we had no other way to get nstars, but I myself can get a easy stack or two a day simply by grinding and I’m one person.
I think we need to give the benefit of the doubt, let’s give it a shot and see how things change, it’s always possible to revert the change if things do not work out.
