Make toolhunter work for only tools youWhat are you suggesting:
Make toolhunter only work for tools you /own.Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
Too many coordinate exploits with toolhunter. Mainly used for finding spawner setups, and when you invest 20m+/month into those it's frustrating to have it made useless by someone exploiting unintended featuresOther information:
That or just disable the feature. Far too many issues with itPlugin or custom addition:

-1 one of the main points of having tool hunter is so that others can help you look for your tool. If we add this, it removes the ability for players to help out other players find their tools without players having to contact SA’s.
-
Why not just consider this "feature abuse" and treat it the same way the rules say investigator+ baltop leaks will be treated?
Really the same difference imo-

Preventative measure since abuse can be really difficult to track. How do you prove someone used toolhunter rather than found a setup without exploits? That information is not publically available

you know, fair enough. It could be done by staff to enough of a degree, but that could be a lot.
better idea:
only display coords when an actual inventory item is being used? ie moving into a chest/barrel/shulker.
Don't display coords if being moved into an inventory/enderchest/pv/tb.
Should mitigate the issue, right? -
+1 let’s make /near feature abuse as well as this feature is used to find setups
-
I think the overarching issue here is a lack of protections for people who farm mob grinders
We shouldn’t nerf any features, we should allow people to farm without the threat of people finding their set up.
Enforce mob farming evictions. Find some way to regulate set ups.
No other source of income has this issue, why should mob grinding? Especially when it typically costs thousands of usd to get the spawner keys needed for a decent set up.
Protect mob farmers. Give mob farm protections. -

-1 I think that mining setups should regularly be found to add an element of risk to sitting at one’s keyboard while auto-clicking.

They are already an extreme risk due to staff abuse, costing 20m+/month, setups being found legitimately, etc

Oh yeah also:
if you want a solution literally don’t pull your magic tool out at the spawners
it’s that easy
pull it out before you go to set up, put it away after you leave

This is an unintuitive take, by the way. Toolhunter is marketed as being able to sell the service. You're basically saying
"fuck their expensive feature because it causes a problem with my expensive feature"-

well unfortunately this feature, while a great idea, has a lot of negatives that outweigh the positives
