What are you suggesting:

Lower the Mission Crystal Requirements.

It can be reduced to whatever y'all think is best, but I was thinking halving the requirements after the 5x one, so basically:

5 to 5
15 to 10
30 to 15
50 to 25
100 to 50

or alternatively (and with numbers that I am more for thanks to Crave's alt. numbers below)
5 to 10
15 to 20
30 to 30
50 to 40
100 to 50

(note: these numbers, to keep it fair for everyone & stop a future headache for those who turned in crystals already, would need to honor those who submitted the 5x mission before the change, or the 15x if someone submits that before this is accepted)​

Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:

Before we call this a "Wah Wah, prestige too hard. Lower pls" suggestion, hear me out. Some of these mission crystal requirement numbers literally make some of the prestiges unobtainable for at least 5+ years with the absolute perfect setup (realistically a lot more, which I will talk about below).

As it currently stands, the requirements are 5, 15, 30, 50, 100 for each prestige (with the 100 being the 5th prestige). On average, there has been an average of 5 missions per season, and roughly 4-5 seasons in the year (if we are going by 2024, which is the only full year so far). If we use that logic, that would be 20-25 total unique mission crystals in a given year. Assuming someone completes exactly 100 missions for that fifth prestige and has enough duplicates to satisfy the other ones, that's about 4-5 years at the very least with the given numbers if using an absolute perfect system and completing every single mission that was available.

Now, as I just said, that is in a perfect scenario. In reality, a given person may complete 2-3 unique missions in a season tops, and going by the Fall 2024 season alone, 3 of the 6 missions were not ever completed once by anyone (according to the Discord. This is excluding Top Donor's obtainings). That's half the missions that nobody even completed yet (at the time of this suggestion). Given this information, and the fact that many of the missions that people complete won't have enough duplicates to satisfy future prestige applications, we are looking at a realistic average getting dangerously close to 10yrs or longer to get that 100 mission crystal prestige with all the previous ones obtained too. Heck, after about one year and 24 missions (22 not including the Black Friday missions), we only had 26 applicants for the mission prestiges, and they are all the 5x (nobody submitted the 15x yet). I would be surprised if anyone even obtained ten unique crystals since this started (and weren't top donor to get two for free).

This suggestion, as said above, is just suggesting reducing that requirement a bit to make it still challenging, but a little more realistic (and to avoid people getting to a certain point in the mission crystal prestige, then just giving up due to how unobtainable it is). At the max amount of 50 suggested above, that is at absolute worst a roughly 2.5-3yr prestige with the perfect setup of obtaining every single crystal available, but realistically a 5-6yr or even 7+ yr journey to get all five prestiges. Still challenging and will take a while, but won't take nearly a decade+ to obtain.​

Other information:

For context too, and to state this to help boost an accepted response, there have been 26 Collectible Mission applications so far at the time of this suggestion (and just shy of a year since it started), and all of those were the 5x prestige; none of them are the 15x or above, so if the requirements for the last four prestiges are lowered, there should be nobody that complains that they burned crystals for a now lowered requirement; this is a great time to re-evaluate the requirements now that it's been around for a year and nobody obtained mission crystal prestiges 2-5.​

I like this too, probably better than my original numbers. Only reason I am kind of against these numbers is because people already prestiged with the 5x one. If Andrew/Clar are ok with honoring the 1st prestige with those who already turned in five crystals, then I rather have this

 

With a new set of missions coming out (hopefully) soon, now is a good time to bump this
