It's extremely buggy and the fruit warps around as higher fruits fall from above. +1 I agree, As I walk around I just stand under each tree for a couple seconds before going to next. Feels very clunky.
So you want to have the item that has the most drops, which means would cause the most lag if unstacked, no longer stack? The whole purpose of stacking is to reduce lag, this would change that so I am -1 on this.
I’m in agreement with @Pbrassant . Let’s not lag the server just so players can make a few extra bucks per hour
There aren't enough people farming chorus fruits at any given moment to "lag the whole server". It's currently bugged out, making the fruits teleport around. Not sure why anyone would be against fixing a bug.
-1 "It takes 3 seconds longer to farm" Youre capable of moving around for 3 additional seconds (which honestly it probably isnt), its seemingly a matter of your convenience vs server performance at this point. I dont want my redstone to clump together when I'm mining because i dont get them right away.
I'm guessing you've never farmed chorus fruit. Why not try out the problem at hand before chalking it up to a matter of convenience? This would be like a fish flying over your head every single time you pulled it out of the water. It's dishonest to say server performance would see any effect whatsoever from chorus fruits dropping naturally. Nobody is going around and breaking 100 plants leaving thousands of fruits laying on the ground. You break one, collect the 10 or less pieces that it drops, and then move on to the next one. This "server performance" argument doesn't even make sense. This isn't a pumpkin farm that will spew thousands of pumpkins in every direction. It drops 10 items max and you pick them up before moving to the next one. Please go try it in the current state before giving an opinion.
If your issue is waiting the 3 seconds it takes for the items to fall to the ground, then don't pick it up until all your chorus is harvested? As someone who has done extensive testing with this crop, either rework your current process or build a new farm that works with this limitation. It isn't the server's responsibility to cater to your farm design.
Bruh I’ve been in this server consistently for 7 years (and yes i know the end hasnt been there all 7 years), if you think i haven’t tried chorus fruit farming along with other methods, honey youve got another thing coming. Say this suggestion gets implemented. Huge farms of chorus fruit can form and unstacked flowers could cause issues. It’s not just you in the end. 3 seconds isnt going to kill you, it hasnt killed all the other players who have dealt with chorus fruit farming since it came out.
Not a bug, it's the way item stacking works on ECC. The chorus just doesn't drop until the full stalk has been destroyed. Since the stalk breaks upwards, the chorus fruit travels upward as they stack to the newest drop until there are no more drops, allowing it all to fall at once after the whole stalk is broken.
^^^ @CP3fan1 you been back in the server for like three weeks after a four year hiatus. A lot has changed in that time frame, so if I were to make a suggestion, I would make sure you *fully* understand something before making a rather headstrong suggestion to change something (only reason I’m saying this is because this is the third time I noticed you suggested a change, many players pointed out something/explained how it won’t be good for ECC, then you defended it so hard that it caused a borderline heated argument between you and many other players who have been active for years).
I missed the part of the suggestions forum that said that you had to be active for the past year. Let's not talk about the fact that 2/3 suggestions thus far have basically been implemented. I suggested equalizing mining & fishing prices and they were equalized 3 days later. I suggested adding a queue and low and behold, we're adding a queue! Maybe you shouldn't be so elitist to say that I shouldn't make suggestions because of some made-up reason having to do with my activity.
I think you missed his point. All he did was make a suggestion, and while I would’ve worded it differently, his suggestion has good intentions. Jdawg just gave some advice as he is a long time active member of the community. No need for harsh words when he is trying to help. Don’t fucking call him an elitist either when he isn’t acting like one.
