Reveal who uses /lightning on youWhat are you suggesting:
I'm suggesting that whenever someone uses /lightning, it reveals the person who executed the command. Why is this a good addition for EcoCityCraft?:
Since there are messages now, it would be nice to always see who created the custom message. In rare cases, if there is harassment, you would know who to make a player complaint about or know who to tell to stop.Other information:

Would make reporting potential abuse of this feature a lot easier, also it's nice to know who you got lightened by.-

This is needed badly in regards to explicit content. And also what Taylor said, it'd be nice to know who lightened by.-

This could be abused to easily and can result in anonymous bullying/harassment for users. Being able to see who it was that issued the lightning would be great.-

I mean, no it can't.
Abusive message comes through and SAs can easily see who sent it and deal with it.
This is ECC, everything is logged.-

Yes that is true, but it would be a lot easier on everyone if it just said “you have been struck by {username}.” It’s just something that can be added to make handling these rare cases of harassment/bullying little bit more efficient.

-1 Who would use this feature for bullying. We don’t need to put parental control on everything. If it is being abused, staff can already do something about it. Plus, “you have been struck by...” would make it ugly and too long

There’s been cases already of people abusing this putting explicit content. If this can be stopped by just showing who said that, it would help not only the player but the staff team for determining who sent this message and what they can do about it.

Most likely it is however it would be much simpler and less time consuming to have your screen display a name when struck.

At the end of the day do we need to 1 abuse people using lightening and 2nd do we need to ask SA's to investigate everything. I dont see any harm in having someone's username on this. Apart from obviously keeping lightening anonymous i don't see a reason to not include the players name.
So +1 for me-

No, in fact I have never received one single complaint in my whole gaming history. I don’t see where you’re going with this question.
This is a feature that we had for a long time and that we can use every 10 minutes. The fact that it doesn’t reveal who sent the lighting, doesn’t make it abusive.-

Whilst this is true, why would we willingly make the SA’s job harder and add more to their to-do list by making them have to go through every log for each complaint.
This suggestion would allow the staff team to deal with it in a quick and efficient matter. If this suggestion was implemented you would see the person sending you the message, screenshot and post a complaint (which any staff member can deal with). The alternative, involves users having to forum PM the SA team to investigate each incident which will not be as quickly dealt with as a complaint would be. -
Having been an SA, searching for something like this is trivial.
If it gets abused, ban the person and remove the feature. A feature removal should be handled by SAs and backed up by log evidence regardless, so ultimately the SAs would still need to be involved.
Look, there's decent reasons to support this suggestion. I don't disagree that this is a nice-to-have. I just don't like seeing staff pile onto suggestions because "this can be abused" when ultimately, no it can't.-

As stated above, it boils down to feature abuse if used improperly / for harassment / whatever bad reasons and ultimately needs to be investigated by an SA+ and a feature removal done. Simple and as easy as that with any other feature that might be abused.
