Taxes are shit. I play mc to get away from real life and taxes. I don't play a mc server to get taxed on money that i spent time making. It's essentially just negated part of my time played for no reason. We should make other money sinks than just a "Tax for the sake of taxing."
Do they? I also only half care about inflation. This isn't a real economy. We can change the price of things to adjust for the money in the economy. Anyone who actually needs taxed just stores their money in items and dodges it anyways.

taxing someones time?? and uh yeah it targets those who try to save up massive amounts so yes taxes do target those who have massive amounts in the bank
taxes were made to combat inflation created by poor choices. we shouldnt have to be negatively impacted when other things can be changed to fix the inflation. remove taxes and fix other shit instead. Clearly users want change. I get the server needs to make money, but it can do it in non economy changing ways from now on.
Taxes are needed IMO, but I agree that the way taxes currently are is kind of shit. I like the "will strike at random" as it stops people from sinking their money into assets for a day before selling them back. I have half suggested before taxing player income versus what they currently have in their balance/bank because players (like myself) who can only play occasionally per month end up getting hit hard. If at all possible there can be a script that takes current balances, subtracts previous tax balances, and taxes that difference with a heavier tax (with maybe like a 5% tax regardless). Idk how we can implement that, but this might be a better suggestion.
