Allow players to run a lottery

He means that we'd have to make a whole thread/wiki section to tell players how to do the draw properly.

 

I'm sure one staff member not watching is not a big deal. Also I'm sure the wiki team would be able to complete that task.

 

Yeah, but they'd have to go through the hassle of setting up the draw, and giving out all the Skype credentials and such.

 

I can only imagine the amount of hard feelings this suggestion will cause to the server. Trust? - lotto teams are the perfect example of why this should never be implemented. How many trusted "friends" have stolen items out of a chest?

 

Many times off peak they are 0-1 staff online. 1 staff member who is watching the stream as nicit said cannot watch the chat, moderate or help out. That's 5 minutes that allows somebody to advertise at spawn, abuse others, etc.

 

possibly only do the draws during on peak times? also nothing is impossible!

 

But this would be ban able and there would need to be an entire process, for a person to create this.

 

That is exactly why it shouldn't be allowed, because every player-run lotto would require staff to oversee it all. It's not feasible, and even more complicated to turn into a rule.

1. People will most likely scam
2. The server ran lotto is there to take money out of the economy that is why there is 15 percent tax.
3. yes there people can get random generators however people can fix this easy by just picking their friends and sharing scammed profits and there's no way to stop or prove it.
4. Not everyone can stream, there will only be a hand-full which there's no point adding something that only a small majority of the server will use.

 

No. Far too much hassle for stuff. I'd rather moderate in game, do forum work, make money than watch a live stream of someone drawing numbers.
