So I just filed a complaint; referenced here: http://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/user-complaint-redmonkey1313.101127/#post-514147 The complaint has done been dismissed, so I am now attempting to file a bug report. A chest in my vault was looted for almost 400 Quartz Blocks and 500 Diamonds. I know for a fact that I locked this chest when I put my items in it. I always lock my valuables, and I had no reason to add a player to the chest. However, the chest was still looted (evidence can be seen of this via the link posted above). Unfortunately I do not have evidence of me locking the chest, as why would I take a screenshot of me locking a chest? I'm not sure what can be done here, but I know that I locked that chest. I just bought the items yesterday and put them there.
FYI @ArisenBatman the chest was unlocked and I was in your vault because @Iticip was tp'ing people there when you were giving out donation features. That night I logged off and when I logged back on I found the diamonds and quartz in the unlocked chest
Well, I guess regardless of what happened; you have done lost all of my respect and I can reassure you that you will never get anything out of me again. So long for any chance of you getting any help from me or receiving anything of any form from my giveaways. Only way you can change my mind is to return my stuff. Requesting for this thread to be locked.
While server rules allow @Redmonkey1313 to do this, I agree with you @ArisenBatman and will offer him no help myself ever in the future for this act either. Please let us know if he makes the right decision to return your items as I hope he does.
Yes, that's true, but it is highly frowned upon. If you were a Builder, or even a Resident on the server for 3 days, this would've been much different. You being an experienced user, almost being 1 year old on the server know better. The fact that you took those items from the chest shows immaturity and no self respect. How would you like it if you had stuff taken from your unlocked chest? You wouldn't. That's how @ArisenBatman feels. I highly suggest you give him back those items. And if you choose not to, which by law you don't have to, you've lost my respect as well. I fourth the motion.
I fifth the motion. ArisenBatman is one of the most respected and one of the most generous users on ECC. We would all appreciate if you gave his iteams back
Return the items, because you've lost the respect of many ECC'ers and ome of them being one of the Greatest Of All Time @ArisenBatman. I highly reccomend returning @Redmonkey1313
This isn't the first case of someone stealing from an unlocked chests. Why is redmonkey being chastised while there have been many other instances of this happening without them being chastised? Grow up, unlocked chests are fair game and he does not have to return the items. Arisenbatman should have paid better attention and should've locked his chest. Because he forgot he lost a lot of stuff. That's arisen's fault, not redmonkey's. If I were there and saw an unlocked chest then I would've done the same, I wouldn't even think twice. It's a lot of money and someone was stupid enough to leave it unlocke, making it fair game. Move on and learn from your mistakes, don't turn this into a huge problem.
@kukelekuuk00 , you don't understand. I KNOW that I locked the chest. I was buying out the minerals from Usernames shop and I specifically put down a new chest and locked it before I put the stuff in. How it came unlocked or how he got into it, I don't know. I'm not an idiot, I know that unlocked chests are fair game, but it's a different story when you know that you locked it. I specifically remember it. If the situation was any different, then I wouldn't be making a big deal about it.
@Redmonkey1313 look ur bad very bad monkey. I am sure you wouldn't do any of those things and it was in his vault of all places its like a bank. Honestly even me about 3 weekish into the server knows either ask the person who is clearly the owner of the vault instead of just taking it. "Now be a good monkey and give batman his stuff back." This sounds abit weird.
Locks don't magically disappear. Not even server crashes or rollbacks can make locks disappear, because they are saved in a separate database. And if the database was corrupted then A LOT more people would have that problem. You DON'T KNOW. Don't be stubborn and insist you locked it, because if you did your items would still be inside it. You may think you locked it, but you certainly didn't. I've had moments like that too, everyone has moments like that. You think you did something, but in the end you forgot. This isn't the first time someone wrote a bug report like this and we concluded that it was simply a mistake, and it certainly won't be the last time.
LMfao... whatever. I'm telling you that i locked the damn chest. Why is this thread still open anyway? I asked for it to be locked. Kuke, i'll tell you this....YOU DON'T know... you weren't *Staff Edit* there. Now once again I will say, I LOCKED THE CHEST. Thus is why this is in the bug report section. STaff, punish me if you must for my language and behavior, but I'm sick of people calling me a liar when they don't know anything about the situation. Again, I request for this thread to be locked. @andrewkm - If you have to make this happen, then please do so.
