Minecraft Username: priMELval Brief Description: The lowest possible bid on an auction is the starting price PLUS the minimum increment. Instructions: Auction an item ie. /auc s 1 100 100. Typing /bid will place a bid of $200. This can easily be used to trick players into thinking they are bidding a lot less than they are ie. /auc s 1 100 10000. Typing /bid will place a bid of $10100. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Many Result: Typing /bid will place a bid of the starting price PLUS the minimum increment. It is also no possible to place any bids lower than that amount. Expected Result: You can bid the starting price. Maybe change it so that the increment cannot exceed the starting price?
This is a suggestion not a bug. At this time I don't see it as a problem, users should simply be careful to read all an auctions information before /bid 'ing. Or stick to /bid <amount> and always use that. If you tried /bid 200 on your above auction it simply would not work. Regardless though: Feel free to submit a suggestion for this. I doubt I am willing to remove the /bid command however. As always though, if it gets enough support, and people want /bid removed and want to only stick to /bid <amount> I will look into it.
Spoke to @Physicistsmom and although I was pretty against removing the auto /bid command just because people don't like to read, she has made the decision and convinced me. It's now gone. http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/ecc-auction-system.125365/#post-673526
