It also happens with usernames with capital letters, like mine If you do /inspect jamiesinn it wont work and if you do /inspect JamieSinn it sometimes will
Mcmmo is case sensitive. When adding players to a party, inspecting a player or doing anything mcmmo related I have had to spell the name including the capital letters.
