This is intended for the Rising World. Breaking ores and smelting must be done on the mining world to drop exp. It’s one of the things we have set to encourage mining in the mining world instead of our permanent build world.
Smelting and mining ores do not drop any exp at all in the rising world, they only drop in mining. This is to encourage people to actually mine in the mining world (it is a temporary world that resets every month, refreshing the resources) and not in the rising world, which does not reset and is where towns are placed.
