Minecraft Username: emongolab Brief Description: Player head won't change to corresponding skin. I've tried replacing the head, obtaining a new head, restarting my minecraft client, waiting for a server restart, and just about everything else. Instructions: To obtain a player head 1. have a friend use /bounty place (username) 5000 2. wait 5 minutes 3. use /bounty accept (username) 4. kill the target Once you obtain the head, place it and change your minecraft skin. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Twice, with two separate player heads Result: Head stays at the original skin Expected Result: Head should change to your corresponding minecraft skin Evidence:
I don't know if I'm right about this or not, but I believe that skins are now stored on the server, and only referenced from Mojang at certain times. Maybe it is a delay.
@emongolab A quick fix may be to update to 1.7.10 I've heard there have been some skin issues with 1.7.9. Also since you are using Optifine there is an Optifine for 1.7.10 as well. I hope this works for you!
I'm not really sure if I understood correctly, but from what I got the original head stores the skin? I tried to obtain a new skull with a new skin though, and it still remained as the old skin? I went through the whole process of obtaining the head with the new skin?
Sometimes the skin servers are delayed, so the server might not have picked up on it. Had you just changed the skin prior to getting the head?
This is irrelevant to all of this but, how exactly do you get player heads on ECC since you cannot spawn them. I never really wondered how to get them all this time. I was lazy, sorry for being a big nub
Player heads can be acquired through the bounty system. Basically, you set a bounty or reward for someone to be killed. A person must accept the bounty, and then if they kill the target in a pvp zone, the killer receives a portion of the bounty money, and the head. Often people organize as a group of three to acquire their own heads. When you're in game, type "/bounty" to see the commands.
