[Bug] Unexpected Death Resulted in Loss of Rare Items

Seeing as this bug report isnt a very common one, I decided not to follow the template outlined by andrew. I did this because I believe this bug report is a very unsuall bug report, and it needs to be looked into by a staff member that can access my logs and see where I was when i died, how i died, what where the items I had on me when I did die, and why I respawned inside of a SG arena after I died. I will try and outline the details of this incident to the best of my knowledge.



Its been a while since I've last played (maybe a week or so), and I think I recall that I was mining in the mining world before I logged off.

Once I logged in, I instantly died. My score was like 700k+ so its been a while since I've died. I was very upset at this, but I have the /back command and knew at least I could get my stuff back. After typing the /back command in, i get a message saying "You don't have permission for that command". Now I am getting nervous, because I knew I had this command and it has never not worked in the past. I then notice that I was just running around freely in a Survival Games Map (without being locked in place or with anyone else around), which was the reason why I couldn't use the /back or /home commands. I then went to the chat channel to try and find some help. Core_Diver told me to type /sg join to see if that would reset me, and it did. I was at spawn at this point, so i then tried to type /back but it wanted to take me into the SG arena, which it wouldn't allow me to do.

I have no idea how I got in the SG's map, seeing as I never play that mini-game. I have no idea how this happened, and why I had to die right when I logged in. I would like get my stuff back that was forcibly removed from me, please. I had a ton of stuff on me (since I was in the mining world, I had a lot of minerals and tools including an Eff 7 Pick). I cant remember what all the minerals and stuff I had on me when i logged off a week or so ago, but I do know that I had two very expensive tools on me. I do not care about anything else that was in my inventory, just so long as it helps me get my eff 7 pick and eff5 shovel back.

I know these as facts for sure:
-The mining world reset while I was offline and while my character was still in mining world.
-I have the fly command for the mining world.
-When i logged back in from being offline for a while, I died and respawned inside of an SG arena.

Things Lost That I Want Back:
-Eff 7 Pickaxe with Silk Touch and Unbreaking 3.
-Eff 5 Shovel With Fortune 3, and Unbreaking 3.

I am filing this bug report because I would like to get my stuff back that I was removed from my inventory due to some random death when I logged in. I believe it is a bug because this has never happened to me in the past and the coincidence of the mining world resetting has triggered a red flag for me.

Please consider helping me out by checking my logs and getting my stuff back to me that was lost. I have spent so many man hours on this server as well as hundreds of dollars in donations in playing this server, and I would honestly like to continue to do so. Please let me know what I can do to help expedite this process of getting my items back as well as filing/fixing this bug report so it doesnt happen to other players.

The thing is, I never play SG, so I wouldnt have waited to get into a full arena. Im looking for a MOD to help me with this bug, thanks for your input though.

 

I can see and understand why you guys think its my fault, but the fact of the matter is, once i died, I respawned in an SG arena and was unable to use the /back command to retrive my items from my death point. Which is what this bug report is all about.

 

Did you get your stuff back after you died?

 

Thats a scary thought...anyway, I hope the mods can help me out with this. Im still waiting for them to read this.

I dont see why they wouldnt think this would be a bug related problem. How many times has someone respawned inside of an SG arena after death? Seems buggy to me.

 

I am surprised that you didnt die when you logged in. Consider yourself lucky. When i logged in after being away for a while, my play just exploded and died and respawned in an SG arena. Its comforting to know that others have experienced this type of situation before, I just hope that a mod can help me out.

 

Do i need to tag people in this thread so they know it's here? If so, who do i tag that can help with this? I feel like my bug report and request to get my expensive items back is going unheard.

Granted its only been a few days, so whoever can help me might be doing it in the background. I wouldn't know though I have no idea how this bug reporting process works, or how long it takes to reconcile a claim/report.

Clarity on where we are at in the bug reporting process would be nice from someone who is able to help me. I don't like the feeling of being alone....in the void...dead... O_O

 

Ya I found it weird that no one was around in the arena too. Although, I wasn't stuck in the pond. I did manage to get out of the pond but I was still trapped in the arena and tell I typed the survival games join command (/sg join)
