While I agree this would be a great addition, there are people that will always say it's rigged.

Do you understand what I meant? People will say it's rigged if they lose. Have you seen lotto some days? Unless the server releases the source code, there is no real way of telling that it's not rigged.

If both parties are putting up money, how is it:
a. spawning in free money, someone loses everything, someone wins the other players money, no spawned in money.

b. could put a 10% tax which means people wanna 1vs1, they can with a expense of 10% like tax.

Dunno how its free spawned in money though, one doubles their money, the other loses all theirs.

We're more concerned with the "trackability" of it. Hence it being "free" money.

Realistically it'd have to be custom coded for it to be usable, not something I need to waste time on.

+1 if it can be taxed. People seem to like gambling and this would give people a controlled way to go 1 on 1 with another player. Sure they could always 1 vs 1 in lotto, but there is not guarantee that a 3rd player won't come in and 1 ticket the pot, meaning lotto can't be a true 1 vs 1 like this plugin offers. I mean sure, the player could bet at casinos, but then you are putting your trust in a person who could scam you over a plugin that won't? Please excuse my ignorance here because I know very lil about plugins, but I have yet to see someone file a complaint for lotto scamming them, but see loads about casinos scamming or rigging. I would think the server would be happy to look for better ways to cut back on those complaints. If I was to gamble, I would much rather use a more controlled and 100% fair means than put my trust in another player as human error is common when comparing the two. As for being able to track the money, why? Can the money be tracked through lotto and casinos? If so, what makes those different from this plugin?

Even if this isn't accepted, maybe it can give another game to casinos for the people who don't mind taking a chance on betting at casinos.

TL;DR: plugins are safer and more controlled than player ran gambling facilities, we have lotto and there is not issues, don't see why this plugin would be any different besides letting people truly be able to 1 vs 1 another player. +1

I was on a server that had coin flip. Sometimes people would just straight up bet loads of money. I originally thought it meant flipping a coin IRL, which almost got me scammed.
Not trying to be rude, but there are a lot of in game gamblers on this server (cough @volcarona955 cough) I think coin flipping would just cause a lot of drama and just major debt for everyone. Coin flipping is dangerous y'all.

 

There have been lottery-related complaints before, but they are usually denied as the staff team does not enforce lotto team agreements of any kind.

I don't have enough time (or motivation) to check the suggested plugin's source code, but the Spigot page doesn't mention any logs (even though it does mention saving statistics with MySQL, but it's going to be a lot less informative than actual log files).
