Minecraft Name:
Jdawger
Suggestion:
Having the ability to delete certain messages from your /mail
Reason:
My /mail is full (mostly from someone spamming me while I was afk) to the point where I need more than 5 pages of mail viewing. I know we have a clear inbox command, but that clears all messages. I have certain mail that was personal and heartwarming that I really do not want to clear from my inbox, but I am sick of seeing all the old spammed mail from someone who was pissed at me from beating him in sg a couple years ago or from old jobs I did when I was still an early mayor. Bottom line, I don't need them.
Other Information:
It is kinda in addition to @Canadian_Apple 's suggestion for time stamped mail, but the mail system could be a little better

So as not to clutter everything with anything spam-like. -

How would this work? Would you do /mail clear (username) to delete all the mail from that specific player?
-
It would have to be this way, unless the mail inbox was arranged so that it had numbers of order, so you could delete the mail number you wanted.
Ex.
[1][ZevZero]: Whats up
[2][BuilderName]: Gimme money
/mail delete 2-

DonaldTrump9 Former President of ECCResident ⛰️ Ex-EcoMaster ⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️ Premium UpgradeHow would it clash with the timestamp?
-

Or
[Timestamp] [Username] [Message] & /mail delete [timestamp]
(e.g. 11/7/2016 Stolio: Hey Dude How Ya Been?)
11/10/16 RandomBuilder: GIVE ME MONEY)
/mail delete 11/10/16 -

Yes please

To show the timestamp while not colliding with it, it could be something like this:
Code:/mail read [1][2016-04-13][Someone]: Whats up [2][2016-08-23][RandomBeggar]: Gimme money [3][2016-08-23][SomeoneElse]: Hey there /mail delete 2

Expipiplusone BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Tycoon ⚜️⚜️⚜️ Premium UpgradeThe problem with the DD/MM/YYYY format (in which the separator is "/", by the way) is that it is often ambiguous with the American MM/DD/YYYY (how do you tell whether 12/11/2016 is the 12th of November or the 11th of December?) while, on the other end, the ISO 8601 date format is not ambiguous and easily distinguished due to the "-" separator. And on top of that, it's Big Endian, which makes much more sense.

I find it logical to put the smallest item first, since Days < Months < Years.
Same applies. How do I know 2016-11-12 is the 12th of November, not the 11th of December? -
Maybe separate the time stamp so that it is not as crowded in the chat
Code:/mail read [1] Someone: I love you [2] SomeoneElse: Freedom from oppression [3] RandomBuilder: Gimme money /mail time 1 [1] [04 Nov 2016] Someone: I love you /mail delete 2 Deleted mail from SomeoneElse received at 03 Nov 2016 /mail read [1] Someone: I love you [2] RandomBuilder: Gimme money

I don't think it would make sense to delete mail by the timestamp. Either number messages so that they can be individually deleted, or delete all mail from a certain player by using /mail clear (player).

I like this, because sometimes people come by and mail me crap I didn't even need to know and I need to look at my important mail reminders without seeing a clutter of random.
I like that idea, to organize and file mail into different, readable sections. How would you delete a specific message from the mail at that day(such as, what command)? /mail delete 03 Nov 2016 2 or /mail delete 2 03 Nov 2016-

The mail would be sorted by time received (as it is now), but not per day. That way you could delete what ever mail you wanted. I don't know a situation where you would want to delete mail received 03 Aug 2016 and you wouldn't know the number. If more explanation is necessary, please let me know
