I'm really surprised no one else is shocked by this. LM: PLEASE STOP CHANGING THE RULES!!! THE SEASON HAS STARTED!

 

Then you messed with my lineup and my draft strategy. I vote for a change back.

 

I dont see the big deal? this affected no records at all.

 

I vote no change back. Not that big of a deal in my opinion.

 

It's quite simple. 6pts for QB TD's make QB's higher value, so you draft them accordingly (higher). This change helps the people who waited on QB's.

As a matter of etiquette, a LM should NEVER EVER change rules after the season has started unless there is a unanimous vote. He has done so twice now. How many more times will rules change? What is the criteria for rule changes? What is "no big deal" and what is a "huge deal"... it's all subjective.

If you don't understand that a LM shouldn't change rules once the season has started, you obviously don't have much experience with Fantasy football. It's not even debatable.

 

Crickets, huh? You need to step up and put the rules back the way they were, and don't change them again.

Really though, I do agree with elric... who knows if this may make a big difference later on in the season. This may have affected some people's draft strategies (I honestly don't remember about my own however) and why not just stick with what we have.

Having run leagues before and doing so currently, I definitely think that rules shouldn't be changed unless the commish lets everyone know about the potential change beforehand and 100% of the league members are ok with it. Now, I'm not trying to bash chargers2417 at all, I'm not sure about any previous commish-ing experience... but hey. If you see this, I hope you learned something about commish-ing (not being sarcastic), but I vote for a change-back to the 6-point QB touchdowns like we had before.

 

For the record, I'm not trying to bash anyone either, I just want a well run, fair league! This is not personal...

Just out of curiosity, why is the championship on week 17? That's always a pretty useless week for fantasy football, because many starters don't even play... I know it can't be changed now, but I'm just wondering why.

 

I think it can be changed, and I was thinking the same thing.

Hmm, I manage another ESPN league and it looks like you can edit the playoffs... so i don't know.

I'm not sure if this would mess with any scheduling stuff, so I'd still be on the fence about changing it.
