Minecraft Username: stoler202 Brief Description: When I'm fly forwards and break blocks I start to slowly descend for no reason. Instructions: 1. Enable /fly. 2. Level your head with some blocks (only on head level, not on foot level). 3. Start breaking blocks while going forward. How many times did you recreate this bug?: A few times. Result: Descending. Expected Result: Staying on the same elevation. Evidence: N/A
So... I never found the time to file a bug report, but something very similar has been happening to me for the last few weeks. In my case I am not breaking any blocks, I am simply flying. Touching a block on eye level will occasionally lower the Y coordinate, like in the video. So far this has only happened to me in the nether.
I will say, this was happening to me today and I asked fellow staff (no one knew what it was). Breaking blocks is fine, just descending with every block I break, while flying into the block and breaking it. Today was the only time I noticed it, when I get back on I will try to reproduce.
Huh, weird. This is definitely something new, considering that I could do it before without any problems.
I'll spend some more time testing it in Singleplayer tomorrow. So far I have only spent about two hours recreating this issue in Vanilla, without success.
Ugh... why would he put it in a hidden directory I just kept reloading the main directory here with no success http://eq2.co.uk/minecraft/mods/
Supposedly, he only puts it there for those who loyally follow the thread and report bugs. Since I neither know how to find bugs, nor do I care enough to go hunting for them, I just download it and keep using the snapshot until the next update. I'm not keen on installations. Basically, my advice is to check the thread as soon as a Minecraft update is released so that it's not flooded with bug-reporting garbage.
more like he thinks it's a safe bet everyone following the thread/discussion (and thus find the update) is savvy enough to understand that the update was not tested and that they should back up all their macro stuff before using it
This started happening to me after the last update, I assumed it's a minecraft mechanic introduced with the latest game version rather than a bug. If there's a way to cut it server-side then that'd be awesome
