Now, I may be new to it, but I assure that I can it will be its residents. As Head of the People Party, I will make sure not only that the nation is cared for, but its people, builds, rules and economy are looked after. I'm not only going to make sure the nation is well looked after. I will make sure that it is different, better and even more special than it is already. What I'll do for Foix: I'll make Foix an official Discord Server, where we can all talk in harmony and have fun, even when we aren't playing EcoCityCraft. We can laugh, discuss and have overall great fun! I will aim to host weekly Foix events, which will take place every Saturday, in which all members (including Builders) can earn money for just enjoying themselves. I aim to make them interesting too. I will make sure that before any important decisions are made, like installing new things, people can decide. I will also allow people to give suggestions, and if a certain amount of people agree with it, it can be installed! I will aim to cheapen a lot of things, like houses for example, and install more official town stores and services! I will also make sure that Foix stays an active town, by aiming to install Moderators for the town only (like special co mayors) which can keep an eye on people and make sure they are active enough otherwise their plot will be given to newer people. They will also make sure the rules are enforced so that Foix stays awesome! I will also try to drastically increase the population! What puts me above other candidates: I am a President rank and have experience in managing a town. I won't charge tax, for example, @Hackney_Builder aims to, and I will make sure to cheapen things. I will make sure any money the town receives, goes to the town's funds. This money (and any personal money my party shares) will go towards developing the nation of Foix to be even better. I will be dedicated to the nation, and if I'm needed I'll be there. Open up the Foix Metro, letting people visit various areas of Foix easily and bringing people into newer, sparser areas. Rank Residents up to Mayor, making new towns for both mansions (one of the nation's largest sources of income) and plots, letting Builders get a house cheaply. Clear out inactive players. Yes, I know, it does sound bad, but the spaces can be resold for lots of money to the treasury, and besides, what benefit do inactive players have to Foix? Add a mall, where shops can be opened with no tax. To benefit from this, prices to buy a shop in the mall would be around 10-20k (lifetime). Shops outside the mall may be opened anywhere, and pay a 10% tax. Allow subletting, whereby any player can rent out houses, so long as they pay a 25% tax to the treasury. These measures will create jobs and homes, and also give the nation more money. I will also invest money for the nation into loans, and buying up towns to join Foix. The Second Round; A statement by Hackney_Builder, leader of the Foix Liberal Party.To all those on the jury who voted for me, I thank you for picking the right choice to lead this nation. From this wonderful nation's first elections, we, the Foix Liberal Party, have been there. Once, we were tossed out in the first round, once, we were unopposed, the old candidates either not interested or beset by corruption, and now, we are here in the second round. The election has not yet been won, however, and we are not yet in the Beige House. If we are elected, we will make sure that the Foix Metro runs again, that some new towns are built, that the commercial sector is opened up to the small businesses, that a bank is opened, that more property is built. All sensible, easily achievable policies that will help bring Foix up to the standard it needs to be. Yes, there are downsides, there is business tax, and there will be evictions of inactive players, but to quote that esteemed politician, Amber Rudd, there is no such thing as a magic money tree. The business taxes will help fund the nation's projects, and the evictions will create more properties for people like you to buy. One of the key things about me is that I listen. When I was running my old town, someone came to me and suggested that we get a boat racing track. I built one. My co-mayor came to me and suggested we get new apartments. I built some. Before you cast your ballot, I give you one last piece of food for thought. Out of the two elections and one referendum I have been in that were decided by the popular vote, I have never lost any of them. That right there shows that people like politics that gives them a voice, that builds things for them, that helps improve their towns. Vote for change, vote for investment, vote for a better Foix.
