It's pretty incredible what he did in 9 seasons in football; the guy broke the record for most recieving yards in a season by a full game's worth. In a passing league, it will be broken eventually, but it for sure will stand for 5-10 years. He's arguably one of the best Lions players in their team's history, and he kinda followed Barry Sanders on his way out. While he may not be a first-ballot HoF, I think he goes in at some point.
I think im with Gob, He pretty much follows Barry Sanders and will probably get in straight away though. --- On another note entirely, Do people think Doug Martin will go back to Buccs? :3
So how about the free agency moves so far? I for one am quite proud of the Chargers with that Travis Benjamin pickup... Exactly what Phil needs right now. Losing Ladarius Green was a bit disappointing, as he looked really promising. I'm also becoming a bit more afraid of the Raiders... Carr, Murray and Cooper on offense and Mack on defense looked scary enough this past season, and with the additions Oakland has made over the past couple of days... oh boy. @Mission001 I saw the Bucs resigned Doug Martin definitely gonna be a top running back again next year.
I'm glad they resigned him, Question is will he really be worth all the money they paid for him, He has had some injuries in the past so it's a really good deal or a bit of a bust in my opinion xD I myself love watching Doug so I'm happy he is still a Bucc
Any post-round-1 thoughts? I'm pretty happy with the Chargers' pick of Joey Bosa; he helps fill a DE position the team desperately needs. As long as we pick up some solid offensive linemen and secondary players later on, I'll be happy.
People thought the Chargers pick was actually a strange one edit that, must have been another pic, I am thinking abut, as you said, they needed someone in that position and he fits pretty well into the 3-4 system. I'm happy with the Bucs pick even though you never like to see a defensive player get picked on first round I'm glad we picked up an extra draft pick though moving down only two spots. Win win for us
Dante Fowler, Jr. and a defensively-rejuvinated Jacksonville wins the AFC South, while a similarly defensive-minded Oakland wins the AFC West. Oakland will make a hard push for the AFC Championship or Super Bowl if they can hold out for 16 games. Jacksonville will contend for the 6 seed if they stay relevant after 6 weeks. Two bold predictions for this year.
