I feel like every one in this community hates 1.9 combat its not fun at all! Would like your opion!! Also a notice you can keep 1.9 and still have 1.8 so dont think by going back to 1.8 we would lose 1.9
Yeah.. if andrew or jamie saw 20 votes they'd bring it back to 1.8 combat. But what if 60 people didn't want it? And they couldn't vote? I think it's a good idea to add an option that they wanna keep 1.9 combat.
Doesn't matter what you guys think of the new combat system, we can't just un-update the server. Literally everyone would be forced to go back to 1.8, and I don't think that'll go well with folks. -1 Get used to it
I'll have to completely disagree with this I'm afraid. I firmly believe the 1.9 update improves PvP, not the opposite. It gets rid of the ping advantage, makes hacking less effective, adds more strategy to PvP, as well as adding tons of cool additions to PvP. The attack delay is arguably one of the best additions they've added. By getting rid of spam clicking they've made hacking (Kill Aura/Forcefield) less effective as well getting rid of the ping advantage and adding more strategy to the game - Instead of PvP just being purely about who has the best mouse/client/ping/reflexes. You'll now have to use strategy to kill others in PvP, not just fast reflexes and a good mouse. The new additions of items improve the game as well - The numerous types of arrows are awesome additions that add more strategy as well as suprises to the game. Not just that, but there's shields that make the game even more realistic and involve strategy as well - A shield is an awesome addition that fits into Minecraft's more medieval approach to battling and such. Minecraft 1.9 is a great addition for the game and it will only improve PvP, not hurt it.
What's not fun is dying due to ping differences and mouse clicks per second advantages. This honestly opens up the PvP world to users who quite frankly couldn't be involved in it before. I myself am amazing at 1.8 PvP and have a stupid click per second rate, not to mention my beautiful 20 MS consistently and I still disagree completely with removing the 1.9 combat system. The game is so much more in-depth with using shields and timed attacks apposed to just spamming your mouse button and hoping you're in their hitbox.
