Also I find it really interesting how the "let's let people kill AFK people" argument is a lot more popular than the "let's remove the ladders but if someone kills an AFK person, BAN" argument. Personally I'm a +1 if killing an AFK person near spawn is considered a non-PvP zone killing.

 

Because that's how minecraft works. There's no feasible/performant way to do it otherwise.

Great memory - I thought this "pushing" capability just came out about a week ago.

 

Pushing was also part of an early minecraft version, but it was removed, then readded in 1.9

 

I don't really understand why its added anyway... what purpose does it serve?

 

It serves to push.

 

For now I've removed the ladders from the barriers, please let me know if this helps.

 

Yeah cause oootopia empress and I tried it out and you can totes still push people up the ladders if you corner them.
