Tested again with Leather Boots with Feather Fall I. No gain or loss of experience. Unsure what enchant was on Leather Chest from original problem. I believe either Protect I or Projectile Protect I.
@ClarinetPhoenix @UnitedStates2 see if you can figure out what is causing a loss of XP and if perhaps simply an MC mechanic.
@andrewkm @Shiftin82 You shouldn't be losing EXP from disenchanting items with a grindstone at all. Even for the lowest value enchants, you'll still get an orb of experience. I can't replicate this on ECC either, despite testing out a different leather tunic for every single applicable enchantment.
Sorry haven't been online alot, I haven't tried since having the original issue but will try again asap.
I've tried this several times and cannot reproduce this. Please let me know if you can provide us with constant reproduction steps for this.
