Recently I fixed a laptop with Windows Vista and I wanted to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows. I looked at a bunch of videos, tried a bunch of things, and after about 4 hours I decided to consult with some people here. Surely out of everyone here there has to be someone running linux. Please help with either a simple video or detailed steps. Laptop Specs: Intel Core 2 duo 2.10 GHZ 4.00 GB RAM Intel onboard graphics Windows Vista Home Premium [64-Bit] Thanks ~TaterPanda
If you don't know how to dual-boot Linux then you should not use Linux. Linux requires certain know-how, even though Ubuntu's Unity desktop, or Gnome desktop make it easier, you still can't do much without knowing what the hell you're doing.
Very true. Linux does require a lot of computer know how, and ability to remember commands. I personally use Kali linux a lot on my laptop, as well as Arch. As kuke said, if you don't know how to install an OS alongside windows, you really shouldn't be using it.
